| 1 [24:4] | Waallatheena yarmoona almuhsanatithumma lam ya/too bi-arbaAAati shuhadaa faijlidoohumthamaneena jaldatan wala taqbaloo lahum shahadatanabadan waola-ika humu alfasiqoona |  والذين يرمون المحصنات ثم لم يأتوا بأربعة شهداء فاجلدوهم ثمانين جلدة ولا تقبلوا لهم شهادة أبدا وأولئك هم الفاسقونوَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يرمون - accuse| المحصنات - the chaste women,| ثم - then| لم - not| يأتوا - they bring| بأربعة - four| شهداء - witnesses,| فاجلدوهم - then flog them| ثمانين - (with) eighty| جلدة - lashe(s)| ولا - and (do) not| تقبلوا - accept| لهم - their| شهادة - testimony| أبدا - ever.| وأولئك - And those,| هم - they| الفاسقون - (are) the defiantly disobedient,| | ||||||
| 2 [24:13] | Lawla jaoo AAalayhibi-arbaAAati shuhadaa fa-ith lam ya/too bialshshuhada-ifaola-ika AAinda Allahi humu alkathiboona | لولا جاءوا عليه بأربعة شهداء فإذ لم يأتوا بالشهداء فأولئك عند الله هم الكاذبون لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لولا - Why (did) not| جاءوا - they bring| عليه - for it| بأربعة - four| شهداء - witnesses?| فإذ - Then when| لم - not| يأتوا - they brought| بالشهداء - the witnesses,| فأولئك - then those| عند - near Allah,| الله - near Allah,| هم - they| الكاذبون - (are) the liars.| | ||||||
