| 1 [7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona |  ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرونثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بدلنا - We changed| مكان - (in) place| السيئة - (of) the bad| الحسنة - the good,| حتى - until| عفوا - they increased| وقالوا - and said,| قد - "Verily,| مس - (had) touched| آباءنا - our forefathers| الضراء - the adversity| والسراء - and the ease."| فأخذناهم - So We seized them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (did) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 2 [13:22] | Waallatheena sabarooibtighaa wajhi rabbihim waaqamoo alssalatawaanfaqoo mimma razaqnahum sirran waAAalaniyatanwayadraoona bialhasanati alssayyi-ata ola-ikalahum AAuqba alddari | والذين صبروا ابتغاء وجه ربهم وأقاموا الصلاة وأنفقوا مما رزقناهم سرا وعلانية ويدرءون بالحسنة السيئة أولئك لهم عقبى الدار وَالَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلاَنِيَةً وَيَدْرَؤُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ أُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| صبروا - (are) patient,| ابتغاء - seeking| وجه - (the) Face| ربهم - (of) their Lord| وأقاموا - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وأنفقوا - and spend| مما - from what| رزقناهم - We have provided them,| سرا - secretly| وعلانية - and publicly| ويدرءون - and they repel| بالحسنة - with the good| السيئة - the evil -| أولئك - those| لهم - for them| عقبى - (is) the final attainment| الدار - (of) the Home -| | ||||||
| 3 [23:96] | IdfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu alssayyi-atanahnu aAAlamu bima yasifoona | ادفع بالتي هي أحسن السيئة نحن أعلم بما يصفون ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ | |||||

| 4 [28:54] | Ola-ika yu/tawna ajrahum marrataynibima sabaroo wayadraoona bialhasanatialssayyi-ata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona | أولئك يؤتون أجرهم مرتين بما صبروا ويدرءون بالحسنة السيئة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون أُوْلَئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَؤُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| يؤتون - will be given| أجرهم - their reward| مرتين - twice| بما - because| صبروا - they are patient| ويدرءون - and they repel| بالحسنة - with good -| السيئة - the evil| ومما - and from what| رزقناهم - We have provided them| ينفقون - they spend.| | ||||||
| 5 [41:34] | Wala tastawee alhasanatu walaalssayyi-atu idfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanufa-itha allathee baynaka wabaynahu AAadawatunkaannahu waliyyun hameemun | ولا تستوي الحسنة ولا السيئة ادفع بالتي هي أحسن فإذا الذي بينك وبينه عداوة كأنه ولي حميم وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| تستوي - (are) equal| الحسنة - the good (deed)| ولا - and| السيئة - the evil (deed).| ادفع - Repel| بالتي - by (that) which| هي - [it]| أحسن - (is) better;| فإذا - then behold!| الذي - One who,| بينك - between you| وبينه - and between him,| عداوة - (was) enmity,| كأنه - (will become) as if he| ولي - (was) a friend| حميم - intimate.| | ||||||
