| 1 [7:145] | Wakatabna lahu fee al-alwahimin kulli shay-in mawAAithatan watafseelanlikulli shay-in fakhuthha biquwwatin wa/mur qawmakaya/khuthoo bi-ahsaniha saoreekum daraalfasiqeena |  وكتبنا له في الألواح من كل شيء موعظة وتفصيلا لكل شيء فخذها بقوة وأمر قومك يأخذوا بأحسنها سأريكم دار الفاسقينوَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْعِظَةً وَتَفْصِيلاً لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَخُذْهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَأْمُرْ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُواْ بِأَحْسَنِهَا سَأُوْرِيكُمْ دَارَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكتبنا - And We ordained (laws)| له - for him| في - in| الألواح - the tablets -| من - of| كل - every| شيء - thing,| موعظة - an instruction| وتفصيلا - and explanation| لكل - for every| شيء - thing,| فخذها - "So take them| بقوة - with firmness| وأمر - and order| قومك - your people| يأخذوا - (to) take| بأحسنها - (the) best of it.| سأريكم - I will show you| دار - (the) home| الفاسقين - (of) the defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 2 [7:150] | Walamma rajaAAa moosa ilaqawmihi ghadbana asifan qala bi/samakhalaftumoonee min baAAdee aAAajiltum amra rabbikum waalqa al-alwahawaakhatha bira/si akheehi yajurruhu ilayhi qalaibna omma inna alqawma istadAAafoonee wakadooyaqtuloonanee fala tushmit biya al-aAAdaa walatajAAalnee maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena | ولما رجع موسى إلى قومه غضبان أسفا قال بئسما خلفتموني من بعدي أعجلتم أمر ربكم وألقى الألواح وأخذ برأس أخيه يجره إليه قال ابن أم إن القوم استضعفوني وكادوا يقتلونني فلا تشمت بي الأعداء ولا تجعلني مع القوم الظالمين وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَى إِلَى قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِي مِن بَعْدِيَ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَلْقَى الْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ ابْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ اسْتَضْعَفُونِي وَكَادُواْ يَقْتُلُونَنِي فَلاَ تُشْمِتْ بِيَ الْأَعْدَاءَ وَلاَ تَجْعَلْنِي مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| رجع - returned| موسى - Musa| إلى - to| قومه - his people -| غضبان - angry,| أسفا - and grieved,| قال - he said,| بئسما - "Evil is what| خلفتموني - you have done in my place| من - from| بعدي - after me.| أعجلتم - Were you impatient| أمر - (over the) matter| ربكم - (of) your Lord?"| وألقى - And he cast down| الألواح - the tablets| وأخذ - and seized| برأس - by head,| أخيه - his brother| يجره - dragging him| إليه - to himself.| قال - He said,| ابن - "O son| أم - (of) my mother!| إن - Indeed,| القوم - the people| استضعفوني - considered me weak| وكادوا - and were about to| يقتلونني - kill me.| فلا - So (let) not| تشمت - rejoice| بي - over me| الأعداء - the enemies,| ولا - and (do) not| تجعلني - place me| مع - with| القوم - the people| الظالمين - (who are) wrongdoing.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:154] | Walamma sakata AAan moosaalghadabu akhatha al-alwaha wafee nuskhatihahudan warahmatun lillatheena hum lirabbihimyarhaboona | ولما سكت عن موسى الغضب أخذ الألواح وفي نسختها هدى ورحمة للذين هم لربهم يرهبون وَلَمَّا سَكَتَ عَن مُّوسَى الْغَضَبُ أَخَذَ الْأَلْوَاحَ وَفِي نُسْخَتِهَا هُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِرَبِّهِمْ يَرْهَبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| سكت - was calmed| عن - from| موسى - Musa| الغضب - the anger,| أخذ - he took (up)| الألواح - the tablets| وفي - and in| نسختها - their inscription| هدى - (was) guidance| ورحمة - and mercy| للذين - for those who| هم - [they]| لربهم - of their Lord| يرهبون - (are) fearful.| | ||||||
