| 1 [7:35] | Ya banee adama immaya/tiyannakum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayateefamani ittaqa waaslaha fala khawfunAAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona |  يا بني آدم إما يأتينكم رسل منكم يقصون عليكم آياتي فمن اتقى وأصلح فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنونيَا بَنِي آدَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي فَمَنِ اتَّقَى وَأَصْلَحَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| بني - O Children| آدم - (of) Adam!| إما - If| يأتينكم - come to you| رسل - Messengers| منكم - from you| يقصون - relating| عليكم - to you| آياتي - My Verses,| فمن - then whoever| اتقى - fears Allah,| وأصلح - and reforms,| فلا - then no| خوف - fear| عليهم - on them| ولا - and not| هم - they| يحزنون - will grieve.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:115] | Qaloo ya moosa immaan tulqiya wa-imma an nakoona nahnu almulqeena | قالوا يا موسى إما أن تلقي وإما أن نكون نحن الملقين قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى إِمَّا أَن تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| إما - Whether| أن - [that]| تلقي - you throw| وإما - or Whether| أن - [that]| نكون - we will be| نحن - [we]| الملقين - the ones to throw?"| | ||||||
| 3 [9:106] | Waakharoona murjawna li-amri Allahiimma yuAAaththibuhum wa-imma yatoobuAAalayhim waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun | وآخرون مرجون لأمر الله إما يعذبهم وإما يتوب عليهم والله عليم حكيم وَآخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ اللّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وآخرون - And others| مرجون - deferred| لأمر - for the Command of Allah -| الله - for the Command of Allah -| إما - whether| يعذبهم - He will punish them| وإما - or| يتوب - He will turn (in mercy)| عليهم - to them.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower,| حكيم - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 4 [17:23] | Waqada rabbuka alla taAAbudooilla iyyahu wabialwalidayni ihsananimma yablughanna AAindaka alkibara ahaduhumaaw kilahuma fala taqul lahuma offinwala tanharhuma waqul lahuma qawlan kareeman | وقضى ربك ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه وبالوالدين إحسانا إما يبلغن عندك الكبر أحدهما أو كلاهما فلا تقل لهما أف ولا تنهرهما وقل لهما قولا كريما وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وقضى - And has decreed| ربك - your Lord,| ألا - that (do) not| تعبدوا - worship| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone| وبالوالدين - and to the parents| إحسانا - (be) good.| إما - Whether| يبلغن - reach| عندك - with you| الكبر - the old age| أحدهما - one of them,| أو - or| كلاهما - both of them,| فلا - then (do) not| تقل - say| لهما - to both of them| أف - a word of disrespect| ولا - and (do) not| تنهرهما - repel them,| وقل - but speak| لهما - to them| قولا - a word| كريما - noble.| | ||||||
| 5 [18:86] | Hatta itha balaghamaghriba alshshamsi wajadaha taghrubu fee AAaynin hami-atinwawajada AAindaha qawman qulna ya thaalqarnayni imma an tuAAaththiba wa-imma antattakhitha feehim husnan | حتى إذا بلغ مغرب الشمس وجدها تغرب في عين حمئة ووجد عندها قوما قلنا يا ذا القرنين إما أن تعذب وإما أن تتخذ فيهم حسنا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّا أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| مغرب - (the) setting place| الشمس - (of) the sun,| وجدها - he found it| تغرب - setting| في - in| عين - a spring| حمئة - (of) dark mud,| ووجد - and he found| عندها - near it| قوما - a community.| قلنا - We said,| يا - O| ذا - "O Dhul-qarnain!| القرنين - "O Dhul-qarnain!| إما - Either| أن - [that]| تعذب - you punish| وإما - or| أن - [that]| تتخذ - you take| فيهم - [in] them| حسنا - (with) goodness."| | ||||||
| 6 [19:75] | Qul man kana fee alddalalatifalyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hattaitha raaw ma yooAAadoona imma alAAathabawa-imma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwasharrun makanan waadAAafu jundan | قل من كان في الضلالة فليمدد له الرحمن مدا حتى إذا رأوا ما يوعدون إما العذاب وإما الساعة فسيعلمون من هو شر مكانا وأضعف جندا قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلاَلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ مَدًّا حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| من - "Whoever| كان - is| في - in| الضلالة - [the] error,| فليمدد - then surely will extend| له - for him| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| مدا - an extension,| حتى - until| إذا - when| رأوا - they see| ما - what| يوعدون - they were promised,| إما - either| العذاب - the punishment| وإما - or| الساعة - the Hour,| فسيعلمون - then they will know| من - who| هو - [he]| شر - (is) worst| مكانا - (in) position| وأضعف - and weaker| جندا - (in) forces."| | ||||||
| 7 [20:65] | Qaloo ya moosa immaan tulqiya wa-imma an nakoona awwala man alqa | قالوا يا موسى إما أن تلقي وإما أن نكون أول من ألقى قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى إِمَّا أَن تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَى | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| إما - Either| أن - [that]| تلقي - you throw| وإما - or| أن - [that]| نكون - we will be| أول - the first| من - who| ألقى - throws?"| | ||||||
| 8 [23:93] | Qul rabbi imma turiyannee mayooAAadoona | قل رب إما تريني ما يوعدون قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ | |||||

| 9 [76:3] | Inna hadaynahu alssabeelaimma shakiran wa-imma kafooran | إنا هديناه السبيل إما شاكرا وإما كفورا إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا | |||||
