| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[9:96] | Yahlifoona lakum litardawAAanhum fa-in tardaw AAanhum fa-inna Allaha layarda AAani alqawmi alfasiqeena
|  يحلفون لكم لترضوا عنهم فإن ترضوا عنهم فإن الله لا يرضى عن القوم الفاسقين
يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْاْ عَنْهُمْ فَإِن تَرْضَوْاْ عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَرْضَى عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ |
| Words | |يحلفون - They swear| لكم - to you| لترضوا - that you may be pleased| عنهم - with them.| فإن - But if| ترضوا - you are pleased| عنهم - with them,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (is) not pleased| يرضى - (is) not pleased| عن - with| القوم - the people| الفاسقين - (who are) defiantly disobedient.| |

| ከእነሱ ትወዱላቸው ዘንድ ለናንተ ይምሉላችኋል፡፡ ከእነሱ ብትወዱም አላህ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦችን አይወድም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { يحلفون لكم لترضوا عنهم فإن ترضوا عنهم فإنّ الله لا يرضى عن القوم الفاسقين } أي عنهم |
| Ad awen ggalen iwakken a ten tôavim. Ma tôuvam ten, ihi, Öebbi ur Ipôavi agdud iballa$en. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা তোমার সামনে কসম খাবে যাতে তুমি তাদের প্রতি রাযী হয়ে যাও। অতএব, তুমি যদি রাযী হয়ে যাও তাদের প্রতি তবু আল্লাহ তা’আলা রাযী হবেন না, এ নাফরমান লোকদের প্রতি। |
| Literal | They swear/take oath to you to accept/approve of them, so if you accept/approve of them, so that God does not accept/approve of the nation the debauchers . |
| Yusuf Ali | They will swear unto you, that ye may be pleased with them but if ye are pleased with them, Allah is not pleased with those who disobey. |
| Pickthal | They swear unto you, that ye may accept them. Though ye accept them. Allah verily accepteth not wrongdoing folk. |
| Arberry | They will swear to you, that you may be well-pleased with them; but if you are well-pleased with them, God will surely not be well-pleased with the people of the ungodly. |
