[9:25] | Laqad nasarakumu Allahu feemawatina katheeratin wayawma hunaynin ithaAAjabatkum kathratukum falam tughni AAankum shay-an wadaqatAAalaykumu al-ardu bima rahubat thummawallaytum mudbireena
|  لقد نصركم الله في مواطن كثيرة ويوم حنين إذ أعجبتكم كثرتكم فلم تغن عنكم شيئا وضاقت عليكم الأرض بما رحبت ثم وليتم مدبرين
لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنكُمْ شَيْئًا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُم مُّدْبِرِينَ |
| Words | |لقد - Verily,| نصركم - Allah helped you| الله - Allah helped you| في - in| مواطن - regions| كثيرة - many,| ويوم - and (on the) day| حنين - (of) Hunain,| إذ - when| أعجبتكم - pleased you| كثرتكم - your multitude,| فلم - but not| تغن - availed| عنكم - you| شيئا - anything| وضاقت - and (was) straitened| عليكم - for you| الأرض - the earth| بما - (in spite) of its vastness,| رحبت - (in spite) of its vastness,| ثم - then| وليتم - you turned back,| مدبرين - fleeing.| |

| አላህም በብዙ ስፍራዎች በእርግጥ ረዳችሁ፤ የሑነይንም ቀን ብዛታችሁ በአስደነቀቻችሁና ከእናንተም ምንም ባልጠቀመቻችሁ ጊዜ ምድርም ከስፋቷ ጋር በጠበበቻችሁና ከዚያም ተሸናፊዎች ኾናችሁ በዞራችሁ ጊዜ (ረዳችሁ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { لقد نصركم الله في مواطن } للحرب { كثيرة } كبدر وقريظة والنضير { و } اذكر { يوم حنين } واد بين مكة والطائف أي يوم قتالكم فيه هوازن وذلك في شوّال سنة ثمان { إذ } بدل من يوم { أعجبتكم كثرتكم } فقلتم لن نُغلب اليوم من قلة وكانوا اثني عشر ألفا والكفار أربعة آلاف { فلم تغن عنكم شيئا وضاقت عليكم الأرض بما رحبت } ما مصدرية أي مع رحبها أي سعتها فلم تجدوا مكانا تطمئنون إليه لشدة ما لحقكم من الخوف { ثم وليتم مدبرين } منهزمين وثبت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على بغلته البيضاء وليس معه غير العباس وأبو سفيان آخذ بركابه . |
| Ni$ Isrebê ikwen Öebbi deg waîas imukan, akked wass n Ëunain, mi kwen taâoeb îîaqa nnwen. Ur awen d tebbwi acemma. Tamurt iwsâan, tu$al awen tediyeq. D$a tezzim d, trewlem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহ তোমাদের সাহায্য করেছেন অনেক ক্ষেত্রে এবং হোনাইনের দিনে, যখন তোমাদের সংখ্যধিক্য তোমাদের প্রফুল্ল করেছিল, কিন্তু তা তোমাদের কোন কাজে আসেনি এবং পৃথিবী প্রশস্ত হওয়া সত্তেও তোমাদের জন্য সংকুচিত হয়েছিল। অতঃপর পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে পলায়ন করেছিলে। |
| Literal | God had given you victory/aid in many homelands/battlefields and Hunain's Day (the location of the famous battle between Arab tribes and Moslems), when your plentifulness pleased/marveled you, so (it) did not enrich/satisfy from you a thing, and the Earth/land narrowed/tightened on you with what (it) widened/broadened (its vastness/expanse), then you turned away giving (your) backs. |
| Yusuf Ali | Assuredly Allah did help you in many battle-fields and on the day of Hunain: Behold! your great numbers elated you, but they availed you naught: the land, for all that it is wide, did constrain you, and ye turned back in retreat. |

| Malik | Allah has indeed helped you in many battlefields and (recently) on the day of Hunain: when you were proud of your great numbers (the Muslim army was 12,000 strong and the unbelievers were only 4,000), but the numbers availed you nothing. The earth, with all its vastness, seemed to close in upon you, and you turned your backs and fled.[25] |
