1 [84:6] | Ya ayyuha al-insanuinnaka kadihun ila rabbika kadhanfamulaqeehi
| يا أيها الإنسان إنك كادح إلى ربك كدحا فملاقيه يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ |
Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الإنسان - mankind!| إنك - Indeed, you| كادح - (are) laboring| إلى - to| ربك - your Lord| كدحا - (with) exertion| فملاقيه - and you (will) meet Him.| |

| አንተ ሰው ሆይ! አንተ ጌታህን (በሞት) እስከምትገናኝ ድረስ ልፋትን ለፊ ነህ፤ ተገናኚውም ነህ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { يا أيها الإنسان إنك كادح } جاهد في عملك { إلى } لقاء { ربك } وهو الموت { كدحا فملاقيه } أي ملاق عملك المذكور من خير أو شر يوم القيامة. |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | হে মানুষ, তোমাকে তোমরা পালনকর্তা পর্যন্ত পৌছতে কষ্ট স্বীকার করতে হবে, অতঃপর তার সাক্ষাৎ ঘটবে। |
Literal | You, you the human/mankind, that you truly are exerting/labouring/toiling to your Lord exertion/labour/toil, so you (are) receiving/meeting Him . |
Yusuf Ali | O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him. |
Pickthal | Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). |
Arberry | O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. |
Shakir | O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. |
Sarwar | Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). |
H/K/Saheeh | O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. |
