| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[8:71] | Wa-in yureedoo khiyanataka faqad khanooAllaha min qablu faamkana minhum waAllahuAAaleemun hakeemun
|  وإن يريدوا خيانتك فقد خانوا الله من قبل فأمكن منهم والله عليم حكيم
وَإِن يُرِيدُواْ خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُواْ اللّهَ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ |
| Words | |وإن - But if| يريدوا - they intend| خيانتك - (to) betray you| فقد - certainly| خانوا - they have betrayed| الله - Allah| من - from| قبل - before.| فأمكن - So He gave (you) power| منهم - over them.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower,| حكيم - All-Wise.| |

| ሊከዱህም ቢፈልጉ ከዚህ በፊት አላህን በእርግጥ ከድተዋል፡፡ ከነሱም አስመችቶሃል፡፡ አላህም ዐዋቂ ጥበበኛ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإن يريدوا } أي الأسرى { خيانتك } بما أظهروا من القول { فقد خانوا الله من قبل } قبل بدر بالكفر { فأمكن منهم } ببدر قتلا وأسرا فليتوقعوا مثل ذلك إن عادوا { والله عليم } بخلقه { حكيم } في صنعه . |
| Ma b$an a k xedâan, ni$ iu$ lêal xedâen Öebbi. D$a, Ikkes asen ôôay. Öebbi Iéôa, d Bab n ûûwab. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যদি তারা তোমার সাথে প্রতারণা করতে চায়-বস্তুতঃ তারা আল্লাহর সাথেও ইতিপূর্বে প্রতারণা করেছে, অতঃপর তিনি তাদেরকে ধরিয়ে দিয়েছেন। আর আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে পরিজ্ঞাত, সুকৌশলী। |
| Literal | And if they want your betrayal/unfaithfulness, so they had betrayed/become unfaithful to God from before, so He gave others high position/strength from them, and God (is) knowledgeable, wise/judicious. |
| Yusuf Ali | But if they have treacherous designs against thee, (O Messenger!), they have already been in treason against Allah, and so hath He given (thee) power over them. And Allah so He Who hath (full) knowledge and wisdom. |
| Pickthal | And if they would betray thee, they betrayed Allah before, and He gave (thee) power over them. Allah is Knower, Wise. |
| Arberry | And if they desire treachery against thee, they have tricked God before; but He has given thee power over them; and God is All-knowing, All-wise. |

| Sarwar | Do not be surprised that they want to be dishonest with you; they have always been dishonest with God. However, He has power over them. God is All-knowing and All-wise. |
