| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[8:61] | Wa-in janahoo lilssalmi faijnahlaha watawakkal AAala Allahi innahu huwa alssameeAAualAAaleemu
|  وإن جنحوا للسلم فاجنح لها وتوكل على الله إنه هو السميع العليم
وَإِن جَنَحُواْ لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| Words | |وإن - And if| جنحوا - they incline| للسلم - to peace,| فاجنح - then you (also) incline| لها - to it,| وتوكل - and put (your) trust| على - in| الله - Allah.| إنه - Indeed,| هو - He| السميع - (is) All-Hearer,| العليم - All-Knower.| |

| ወደ ዕርቅም ቢያዘነብሉ ወደ እርሷ አዘንብል፡፡ በአላህም ላይ ተጠጋ፡፡ እነሆ እርሱ ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነውና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإن جنحوا } مالوا { للسَّلْم } بكسر السين وفتحها: الصلح { فاجنح لها } وعاهدهم، وقال ابن عباس : هذا منسوخ بآية السيف وقال مجاهد: مخصوص بأهل الكتاب إذ نزلت في بني قريظة { وتوكل على الله } ثق به { إنه هو السميع } للقول { العليم } بالفعل . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যদি তারা সন্ধি করতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করে, তাহলে তুমিও সে দিকেই আগ্রহী হও এবং আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা কর। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনি শ্রবণকারী; পরিজ্ঞাত। |
| Literal | And if they sided/inclined towards to the peace/surrender , so side/incline towards to it, and rely/depend on God, that He truly is, He is the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable. |
| Yusuf Ali | But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). |
