[8:41] | WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtummin shay-in faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooliwalithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeniwaibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahiwama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawmaalfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahuAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun
|  واعلموا أنما غنمتم من شيء فأن لله خمسه وللرسول ولذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين وابن السبيل إن كنتم آمنتم بالله وما أنزلنا على عبدنا يوم الفرقان يوم التقى الجمعان والله على كل شيء قدير
وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُمْ بِاللّهِ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
| Words | |واعلموا - And know| أنما - that what| غنمتم - you obtain (as) spoils of war| من - of| شيء - anything,| فأن - then that,| لله - for Allah| خمسه - (is) one fifth of it| وللرسول - and for the Messenger| ولذي - and for the| القربى - near relatives,| واليتامى - and the orphans| والمساكين - and the needy| وابن - and the| السبيل - wayfarer,| إن - if| كنتم - you| آمنتم - believe| بالله - in Allah,| وما - and (in) what| أنزلنا - We sent down| على - to| عبدنا - Our slave| يوم - (on the) day| الفرقان - (of) the criterion,| يوم - (the) day| التقى - (when) met| الجمعان - the two forces.| والله - And Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| |

| ከማንኛውም ነገር በጦር (ከከሓዲዎች) የዘረፋችሁትም አንድ አምስተኛው ለአላህና ለመልክተኛው፣ (ለነቢዩ) የዝምድና ባለቤቶችም፣ ለየቲሞችም፣ ለምስኪኖችም፣ ለመንገደኛም የተገባ መኾኑን ዕውቁ፣ በአላህና በዚያም እውነትና ውሸት በተለየበት ቀን ሁለቱ ጭፍሮች በተገናኙበት (በበድር) ቀን በባሪያችን ላይ ባወረድነው የምታምኑ እንደኾናችሁ (ይህንን ዕወቁ)፡፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { واعلموا أنما غنمتم } أخذتم من الكفار قهرا { من شيء فأن لله خمسه } يأمر فيه بما يشاء { وللرسول ولذي القربى } قرابة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من بني هاشم وبني المطلب { واليتامى } أطفال المسلمين الذين هلك آباؤهم وهم فقراء { والمساكين } ذوي الحاجة من المسلمين { وابن السبيل } المنقطع في سفره من المسلمين، أي يستحقه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والأصناف الأربعة على ما كان يقسمه من أن لكلٍ خُمسَ الخمس، والأخماس الأربعة الباقية للغانمين { إن كنتم آمنتم بالله } فاعملوا ذلك { وما } عطف على بالله { أنزلنا على عبدنا } محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم من الملائكة والآيات { يوم الفرقان } أي يوم بدر الفارق بين الحق والباطل { يوم التقى الجمعان } المسلمون والكفار { والله على كل شيء قدير } ومنه نصركم مع قلتكم وكثرتهم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর এ কথাও জেনে রাখ যে, কোন বস্তু-সামগ্রীর মধ্য থেকে যা কিছু তোমরা গনীমত হিসাবে পাবে, তার এক পঞ্চমাংশ হল আল্লাহর জন্য, রসূলের জন্য, তাঁর নিকটাত্নীয়-স্বজনের জন্য এবং এতীম-অসহায় ও মুসাফিরদের জন্য; যদি তোমাদের বিশ্বাস থাকে আল্লাহর উপর এবং সে বিষয়ের উপর যা আমি আমার বান্দার প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করেছি ফয়সালার দিনে, যেদিন সম্মুখীন হয়ে যায় উভয় সেনাদল। আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপরই ক্ষমতাশীল। |
| Literal | And know that what you won/obtained by spoils of war from a thing, that to God its fifth and to the messenger and (those) of (E) the relations/near, and the orphans , and the poorest of poor/poor oppressed, and the traveler/stranded traveler, if you had believed by God and what We descended on Our worshipper/slave, (on) the Separation of Right and Wrong Day/Proof Day (the) day the two groups/gatherings met , and God (is) on every thing capable/able . |

Whatever you take as spoils of war, a fifth of that is for Allah and for the Messenger (the Central Authority, to run the government). The rest will belong to the families of soldiers who laid their lives defending the State, the orphans, those left alone in the society, the widows, the ones whose income has stalled for any reason, the needy wayfarer, and whoever travels to the believers in a destitute condition.
