| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[72:6] | Waannahu kana rijalun minaal-insi yaAAoothoona birijalin mina aljinni fazadoohumrahaqan
|  وأنه كان رجال من الإنس يعوذون برجال من الجن فزادوهم رهقا
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا |
| Words | |وأنه - And that| كان - (there) were| رجال - men| من - among| الإنس - mankind| يعوذون - who sought refuge| برجال - in (the) men| من - from| الجن - the jinn,| فزادوهم - so they increased them| رهقا - (in) burden.| |

| ‹እነሆም ከሰዎች የኾኑ ወንዶች በጋኔን ወንዶች ይጠበቁ ነበሩ፡፡ ኩራትንም ጨመሩዋቸው፡፡› |
| آل الجلالين | { وأنه كان رجال من الإنس يعوذون } يستعيذون { برجال من الجن } حين ينزلون في سفرهم بمخوف فيقول كل رجل أعوذ بسيد هذا المكان من شر سفهائه { فزادوهم } بعوذهم بهم { رهقا } فقالوا سدنا الجن والإنس. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অনেক মানুষ অনেক জিনের আশ্রয় নিত, ফলে তারা জিনদের আত্নম্ভরিতা বাড়িয়ে দিত। |
| Literal | 'And that it was men from the human/mankind they seek protection with men from the Jinns , so they increased them oppression/sin/foolishness .' |
| Yusuf Ali | 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. |
| Pickthal | And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); |
