| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:39] | Waqalat oolahum li-okhrahumfama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlinfathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona
|  وقالت أولاهم لأخراهم فما كان لكم علينا من فضل فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكسبون
وَقَالَتْ أُولاَهُمْ لِأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ |
| Words | |وقالت - And (will) say| أولاهم - (the) first of them| لأخراهم - to (the) last of them,| فما - "Then not| كان - is| لكم - for you| علينا - upon us| من - any| فضل - superiority,| فذوقوا - so taste| العذاب - the punishment| بما - for what| كنتم - you used to| تكسبون - earn."| |

| «መጀመሪያይቱም ለኋለኛይቱ ለእናንተ በእኛ ላይ ምንም ብልጫ አልነበራችሁም» ትላለች፡፡ «ትሠሩትም በነበራችሁት ቅጣቱን ቅመሱ» (ይላቸዋል)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالت أُولاهم لأخراهم فما كان لكم علينا من فضل } لأنكم لم تكفروا بسببنا فنحن وأنتم سواء قال تعالى لهم { فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكسبون } . |
| Inna umezwaru nnsen i uneggaru nnsen: "ur kwen smenyafen i nekwni, ihi jeôôbet aâaqeb, ilmend n wayen tkeppbem". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | পূর্ববর্তীরা পরবর্তীদেরকে বলবেঃ তাহলে আমাদের উপর তোমাদের কোন শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব নেই অতএব, শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর স্বীয় কর্মের কারণে। |
| Literal | And their first said to their last: "So (there) was/is not was for you on us from grace/favour/blessing, so taste/experience the torture because (of) what you were gaining/acquiring ." |
| Yusuf Ali | Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !" |
| Pickthal | And the first of them saith unto the last of them: Ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn. |
