| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:34] | Walikulli ommatin ajalun fa-itha jaaajaluhum la yasta/khiroona saAAatan walayastaqdimoona
|  ولكل أمة أجل فإذا جاء أجلهم لا يستأخرون ساعة ولا يستقدمون
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلاَ يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
| Words | |ولكل - And for every| أمة - nation| أجل - (is a fixed) term.| فإذا - So when| جاء - comes| أجلهم - their term,| لا - (they can) not| يستأخرون - seek to delay| ساعة - an hour,| ولا - and not| يستقدمون - seek to advance (it).| |

| ለሕዝብም ሁሉ የተወሰነ ጊዜ አላቸው፡፡ ጊዜያቸውም በመጣ ወቅት አንዲትን ሰዓት አይቆዩም፡፡ (ከጊዜያቱ) አይቀደሙምም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولكل أمَّة أجل } مدة { فإذا جاء أجلهم لا يستأخرون } عنه { ساعة ولا يستقدمون } عليه. |
| Yal lois isâa lajel. Ma iusa d lajel nnsen, ur t swexxiôen s ssaâa, ur t id ééaéan. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের একটি মেয়াদ রয়েছে। যখন তাদের মেয়াদ এসে যাবে, তখন তারা না এক মুহুর্ত পিছে যেতে পারবে, আর না এগিয়ে আসতে পারবে। |
| Literal | And to every nation (is) a term/time, so if their term/time came, they do not delay/lag behind an hour, and they do not advance . |
| Yusuf Ali | To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation). |
| Pickthal | And every nation hath its term, and when its term cometh, they cannot put it off an hour nor yet advance (it). |
| Arberry | To every nation a term; when their term comes they shall not put it back by a single hour nor put it forward. |
| Shakir | And for every nation there is a doom, so when their doom is come they shall not remain behind the least while, nor shall they go before. |
