| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:148] | Waittakhatha qawmu moosamin baAAdihi min huliyyihim AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarunalam yaraw annahu la yukallimuhum wala yahdeehimsabeelan ittakhathoohu wakanoo thalimeena
|  واتخذ قوم موسى من بعده من حليهم عجلا جسدا له خوار ألم يروا أنه لا يكلمهم ولا يهديهم سبيلا اتخذوه وكانوا ظالمين
وَاتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَى مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلاً جَسَدًا لَّهُ خُوَارٌ أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلاَ يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلاً اتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُواْ ظَالِمِينَ |
| Words | |واتخذ - And took| قوم - (the) people| موسى - (of) Musa,| من - from| بعده - after him| من - from| حليهم - their ornaments| عجلا - a calf -| جسدا - an image| له - [for] it| خوار - (had) a lowing sound.| ألم - Did not| يروا - they see| أنه - that it| لا - (could) not| يكلمهم - speak to them| ولا - and not| يهديهم - guide them| سبيلا - (to) a way?| اتخذوه - They took it (for worship)| وكانوا - and they were| ظالمين - wrongdoers.| |

| የሙሳም ሕዝቦች ከእርሱ (መኼድ) በኋላ ከጌጦቻቸው ወይፈንን አካልን ለርሱ ማግሳት ያለውን (አምላክ አድርገው) ያዙ፡፡ እርሱ የማያናግራቸው መንገድንም የማይመራቸው መኾኑን አይመለከቱምን (አምላክ አድርገው) ያዙት፡፡ በዳዮችም ኾኑ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { واتخذ قوم موسى من بعده } أي بعد ذهابه إلى المناجاة { من حُليِّهم } الذي استعاروه من قوم فرعون بعلَّة عرس فبقي عندهم { عجلا } صاغه لهم منه السامري { جسدا } بدل لحما ودما { له خُوارٌ } أي صوت يسمع، انقلب كذلك بوضع التراب الذي أخذه من حافر فرس جبريل في فمه فإن أثره الحياة فيما يوضع فيه، ومفعول اتخذ الثاني محذوف أي إلها { ألم يروا أنه لا يكلِّمهم ولا يهديهم سبيلا } فكيف يُتَّخذ إلها { اتخذوه } إلها { وكانوا ظالمين } باتخاذه . |
| Agdud n Musa, deffir es, isbedd, s ôôêuê is, aâjmi bu loeppa isrugmuten. Day ur walan ara ar, s tidep, ur asen d ipmeslay, ur la ten inehhu s abrid? Âabden t, llan d imednas. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর বানিয়ে নিল মূসার সম্প্রদায় তার অনুপস্থিতিতে নিজেদের অলংকারাদির দ্বারা একটি বাছুর তা থেকে বেরুচ্ছিল ‘হাম্বা হাম্বা’ শব্দ। তারা কি একথাও লক্ষ্য করল না যে, সেটি তাদের সাথে কথাও বলছে না এবং তাদেরকে কোন পথও বাতলে দিচ্ছে না! তারা সেটিকে উপাস্য বানিয়ে নিল। বস্তুতঃ তারা ছিল জালেম। |
| Literal | And Moses' nation took/received from after him from their jewel/ornament/decoration a calf's body, for him (a) moo/bellow; do they not see/understand that it does not converse/speak/talk (to) them, and nor guide them a way/road/path ? They took/received it, and they were unjust/oppressive. |
| Yusuf Ali | The people of Moses made, in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of calf, (for worship): it seemed to low: did they not see that it could neither speak to them, nor show them the way? They took it for worship and they did wrong. |
| Pickthal | And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way? They chose it, and became wrong-doers. |

| Na mimbaal so pagtaw o Mosa ko oriyan (o kiyalalakaw niyan), phoon ko manga imbolawan iran, sa sapi a lawas iyan, a mapphaka-unga. Ba iran da maylay a mataan! a skaniyan na di niyan siran mipmbitiyarai, go di niyan siran khatoro sa lalan? Biyaloy iran oto (a tohan) na mimbaloy siran a manga darowaka. |
| Ahmed Raza Khan | اور موسیٰ کے بعد اس کی قوم اپنے زیوروں سے ایک بچھڑا بنا بیٹھی بے جان کا دھڑ گائے کی طرف آواز کرتا، کیا نہ دیکھا کہ وہ ان سے نہ بات کرتا ہے اور نہ انہیں کچھ راہ بتائے اسے لیا اور وہ ظالم تھے |
| Shabbir Ahmed | اور بنالیا قومِ موسیٰ نے اس کے بعد اپنے زیورات سے بچھڑے کا پُتلا، جس میں (سے نکلتی) تھی بیل کی سی آواز۔ کیا نہیں دیکھتے تھے وہ کہ وہ نہ اُن سے بات کرتا ہے اور نہ دکھاتا ہے اُن کو کوئی راستہ۔ (پھر بھی) بنا لیا اُنہوں نے اُس کو (معبود) اور وہ تھے (خود ہی) ظلم کرنے والے۔ |

| Abul Ala Maududi | موسیٰؑ کے پیچھے اس کی قوم کے لوگوں نے اپنے زیوروں سے ایک بچھڑے کا پتلا بنا لیا جس میں سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی کیا اُنہیں نظر نہ آتا تھا کہ وہ نہ ان سے بولتا ہے نہ کسی معاملہ میں ان کی رہنمائی کرتا ہے؟ مگر پھر بھی اُنہوں نے اسے معبود بنا لیا اور وہ سخت ظالم تھے |
