| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[67:18] | Walaqad kaththaba allatheenamin qablihim fakayfa kana nakeeri
|  ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم فكيف كان نكير
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ |
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed,| كذب - denied| الذين - those| من - from| قبلهم - before them,| فكيف - and how| كان - was| نكير - My rejection.| |

| እነዚያም ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ አስተባበሉ፡፡ ጥላቻዬም እንዴት ነበር! |
| آل الجلالين | { ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم } من الأمم { فكيف كان نكير } إنكاري عليهم بالتكذيب عند إهلاكهم، أي أنه حق. |
| Ni$ nekôen imezwura nnsen. Amek d Zzi$ fellasen! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, অতঃপর কত কঠোর হয়েছিল আমার অস্বীকৃতি। |
| Literal | And those from before them had (E) lied/denied/falsified, so how was My severity (anger) ? |
| Yusuf Ali | But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? |
| Pickthal | And verily those before them denied, then (see) the manner of My wrath (with them)! |
| Arberry | Those that were before them also cried lies; then how was My horror! |
| Shakir | And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval. |
| Sarwar | Those who lived before them had also rejected Our warning, and how terrible was Our retribution! |
