1 [65:8] | Wakaayyin min qaryatin AAatat AAan amrirabbiha warusulihi fahasabnaha hisabanshadeedan waAAaththabnaha AAathabannukran
| وكأين من قرية عتت عن أمر ربها ورسله فحاسبناها حسابا شديدا وعذبناها عذابا نكرا وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا |
Words | |وكأين - And how many| من - of| قرية - a town| عتت - rebelled| عن - against| أمر - (the) Command| ربها - (of) its Lord| ورسله - and His Messengers,| فحاسبناها - so We took it to account,| حسابا - an account| شديدا - severe;| وعذبناها - and We punished it,| عذابا - a punishment| نكرا - terrible.| |

| ከከተማም ከጌታዋ ትዕዛዝ ከመልክተኞቹም ያመጸች፣ ብርቱንም ቁጥጥር የተቆጣጠርናት፣ መጥፎንም ቅጣት የቀጣናት ብዙ ናት፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وكأين } هي كاف الجر دخلت على أي بمعنى كم { من قرية } أي وكثير من القرى { عتت } عصت يعني أهلها { عن أمر ربها ورسله فحاسبناها } في الآخرة وإن لم تجيء لتحقيق وقوعها { حسابا شديدا وعذبناها عذابا نكرا } بسكون الكاف وضمها فظيعا وهو عذاب النار . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অনেক জনপদ তাদের পালনকর্তা ও তাঁর রসূলগণের আদেশ অমান্য করেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে কঠোর হিসাবে ধৃত করেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম। |
Literal | And how many from a village/urban city (that) disobeyed from its Lord's order/command and His messengers, so We counted/calculated (with) it (a) strong (severe) account/calculation, and We tortured it (an) awful/severe torture? |
Yusuf Ali | How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment. |
