| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:8] | Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhimalakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya al-amruthumma la yuntharoona
|  وقالوا لولا أنزل عليه ملك ولو أنزلنا ملكا لقضي الأمر ثم لا ينظرون
وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنظَرُونَ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لولا - "Why has not been| أنزل - sent down| عليه - to him| ملك - an Angel?"| ولو - And if| أنزلنا - We (had) sent down| ملكا - an Angel,| لقضي - surely (would) have been decided| الأمر - the matter| ثم - then| لا - no| ينظرون - respite would have been granted to them.| |

| «በእርሱም (በሙሐመድ) ላይ መልአክ አይወረድለትም ኖሮአልን» አሉ፡፡ መልአክን ባወረድንም ኖሮ (ባያምኑ በጥፋታቸው) ነገሩ በተፈረደ ነበር፡፡ ከዚያም አይቆዩም ነበር፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا لولا } هلا { أنزل عليه } على محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم { ملك } يصدقه { ولو أنزلنا ملكا } كما اقترحوا فلم يؤمنوا { لقضي الأمر } بهلاكهم { ثم لا ينظرون } يمهلون لتوبة أو معذرة كعادة الله فيمن قبلهم من إهلاكهم عند وجود مقترحهم إذا لم يؤمنوا . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা আরও বলে যে, তাঁর কাছে কোন ফেরেশতা কেন প্রেরণ করা হল না ? যদি আমি কোন ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতাম, তবে গোটা ব্যাপারটাই শেষ হয়ে যেত। অতঃপর তাদেরকে সামান্যও অবকাশ দেওয়া হতনা। |
| Literal | And they said: "If only (an) angel was descended on him." And if We descended an angel, the matter/affair would have been executed/ended , then they (would) not be given time/delayed . |
| Yusuf Ali | They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them. |
