| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:131] | Thalika an lam yakun rabbuka muhlikaalqura bithulmin waahluha ghafiloona
|  ذلك أن لم يكن ربك مهلك القرى بظلم وأهلها غافلون
ذَلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ |
| Words | |ذلك - That (is because)| أن - [that]| لم - not| يكن - is| ربك - your Lord| مهلك - one who destroys| القرى - the cities| بظلم - for (their) wrongdoing| وأهلها - while their people| غافلون - (are) unaware.| |

| ይህ ጌታህ ከተሞችን ባለቤቶችዋ ዘንጊዎች ኾነው ሳሉ በበደል ምክንያት አጥፊ ባለመኾኑ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ذلك } أي إرسال الرسل { أن } اللام مقدرة وهي مخففة أي لأنه { لم يكن ربَّك مهلك القرى بظلم } منها { وأهلها غافلون } لم يرسل إليهم رسول يبين لهم؟ . |
| Akka, acku Mass ik ur Isquccu tamdint, s ddens, ma llan imezda$ is d i$wefliyen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এটা এ জন্যে যে, আপনার প্রতিপালক কোন জনপদের অধিবাসীদেরকে জুলুমের কারণে ধ্বংস করেন না এমতাবস্থায় যে, তথাকার অধিবাসীরা অজ্ঞ থাকে। |
| Literal | That (is) that your Lord was not destroying the villages/urban cities with injustice, and its people (are) ignoring/disregarding . |
| Yusuf Ali | (The messengers were sent) thus, for thy Lord would not destroy for their wrong-doing men's habitations whilst their occupants were unwarned. |
| Pickthal | This is because thy Lord destroyeth not the townships arbitrarily while their people are unconscious (of the wrong they do). |
| Arberry | That is because thy Lord would never destroy the cities unjustly, while their inhabitants were heedless. |
