بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [59:5] | Ma qataAAtum min leenatin awtaraktumooha qa-imatan AAala osoolihafabi-ithni Allahi waliyukhziya alfasiqeena
| ما قطعتم من لينة أو تركتموها قائمة على أصولها فبإذن الله وليخزي الفاسقين مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَى أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِيَ الْفَاسِقِينَ |
Words | |ما - Whatever| قطعتم - you cut down| من - of| لينة - (the) palm-trees| أو - or| تركتموها - you left them| قائمة - standing| على - on| أصولها - their roots,| فبإذن - it (was) by the permission| الله - (of) Allah,| وليخزي - and that He may disgrace| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| |

| ከዘንባባ (ከተምር ዛፍ) ማንኛዋም የቆረጣችኋት ወይም በግንዶቿ ላይ የቆመች ኾና የተዋችኋት በአላህ ፈቃድ ነው፡፡ አመጸኞቸንም ያዋርድ ዘንድ (በመቁረጥ ፈቀደ)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | {ما قطعتم} يا مسلمون {من لينة} نخلة {أو تركتموها قائمة على أصولها فبأذن الله } أي خيَّركم في ذلك { وليخزيَ } بالإذن في القطع { الفاسقين } اليهود في اعتراضهم أن قطع الشجر المثمر فساد . |
| Ayen tgezmem n tezdayin akked wayen teooam beddent af iéuôan nnsent, s wannuf n Öebbi, iwakken a d Isdull iballa$en. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমরা যে কিছু কিছু খর্জুর বৃক্ষ কেটে দিয়েছ এবং কতক না কেটে ছেড়ে দিয়েছ, তা তো আল্লাহরই আদেশ এবং যাতে তিনি অবাধ্যদেরকে লাঞ্ছিত করেন। |
Literal | What you cut off from a palm , or you left it standing on its roots , so (it is) with God's permission/pardon, and to reimburse the debauchers . |
Yusuf Ali | Whether ye cut down (O ye Muslim!) The tender palm-trees, or ye left them standing on their roots, it was by leave of Allah, and in order that He might cover with shame the rebellious transgresses. |
