بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [55:31] | Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha alththaqalani
| سنفرغ لكم أيه الثقلان سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الثَّقَلَانِ |
Words | |سنفرغ - Soon We will attend| لكم - to you,| أيه - O you| الثقلان - two classes!| |

| እናንተ ሁለት ከባዶች (ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች) ሆይ! ለእናንተ (መቆጣጠር) በእርግጥ እናስባለን፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { سنفرغ لكم } سنقصد لحسابكم { أيها الثقلان } الإنس والجن . |
| A d Nelhi yidwen, a sin iéayanen! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | হে জিন ও মানব! আমি শীঘ্রই তোমাদের জন্যে কর্মমুক্ত হয়ে যাব। |
Literal | We will finish/end/complete (free ourselves) for you, oh you, the humans and Jinns (the two weights). |
Yusuf Ali | Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds! |
Pickthal | We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). |
Arberry | We shall surely attend to you at leisure, you weight and you weight! |
Shakir | Soon will We apply Ourselves to you, O you two armies. |

According to an interpretation quoted by Razi, the designation thaqalan (the dual form of thaqal, "a thing of weight") signifies that both these categories of human beings are liable to, and therefore burdened with, sinning.] |
