| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[54:24] | Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidannattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalinwasuAAurin
|  فقالوا أبشرا منا واحدا نتبعه إنا إذا لفي ضلال وسعر
فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ |
| Words | |فقالوا - And said,| أبشرا - "Is (it) a human being| منا - among us| واحدا - one,| نتبعه - (that) we should follow him?| إنا - Indeed, we| إذا - then| لفي - (will be) surely in| ضلال - error| وسعر - and madness.| |

| «ከእኛ የኾነን አንድን ሰው እንከተለዋለን? እኛ ያን ጊዜ በስህተትና በዕብደት ውስጥ ነን» አሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فقالوا أبشرا } منصوب على الاشتغال { منا واحدا } صفتان لـ بشرا { نتبعه } مفسر للفعل الناصب له والاستفهام بمعنى النفي المعنى كيف نتبعه ونحن جماعة كثيرة وهو واحد منا وليس بملك، أي لا نتبعه { إنا إذًا } إن اتبعناه { لفي ضلال } ذهاب عن الصواب { وسعر } جنون . |
| Nnan: "day a neddu d yiwen n umdan segne$? Ihi, nekwni, war ccekk, di ttelfan, akked tisselbi. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলেছিলঃ আমরা কি আমাদেরই একজনের অনুসরণ করব? তবে তো আমরা বিপথগামী ও বিকার গ্রস্থরূপে গণ্য হব। |
| Literal | So they said: "Is a human from (among) us, one, we follow him? We are then in misguidance and madness." |
| Yusuf Ali | For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! |
| Pickthal | For they said; Is it a mortal man, alone among us, that we are to follow? Then indeed we should fall into error and madness. |
| Arberry | and said, 'What, shall we follow a mortal, one out of ourselves? Then indeed we should be in error and insanity! |
