بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [5:104] | Wa-itha qeela lahum taAAalawila ma anzala Allahu wa-ila alrrasooliqaloo hasbuna ma wajadnaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAlamoona shay-an wala yahtadoona
| وإذا قيل لهم تعالوا إلى ما أنزل الله وإلى الرسول قالوا حسبنا ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعلمون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُواْ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ |
Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| تعالوا - "Come| إلى - to| ما - what| أنزل - has (been) revealed| الله - (by) Allah| وإلى - and to| الرسول - the Messenger,"| قالوا - they said,| حسبنا - "Sufficient for us| ما - (is) what| وجدنا - we found| عليه - upon it| آباءنا - our forefathers."| أولو - Even though| كان - (that)| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (were) not| يعلمون - knowing| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - they (were) guided?| |

| ለእነርሱም አላህ ወደ አወረደውና ወደ መልክተኛው ኑ በተባሉ ጊዜ «አባቶቻችንን በርሱ ላይ ያገኘንበት ነገር ይበቃናል» ይላሉ፡፡ አባቶቻቸው ምንም የማያውቁና የማይመሩ ቢኾኑም (ይኸንን ማለት ይበቃቸዋልን) |
آل الجلالين | { وإذا قيل لهم تعالوا إلى ما أنزل الله وإلى الرسول } أي إلى حكمه من تحليل ما حرمتم { قالوا حسبنا } كافينا { ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا } من الدين والشريعة قال تعالى: { أ } حسبهم ذلك { ولو كان آباؤهم لا يعلمون شيئا ولا يهتدون } إلى الحق والاستفهام للإنكار . |
| Ma nnan asen: "yyaw ar wayen id Issers Öebbi, u ar Umazan". Qqaôen: "beôka ya$ ayen id nufa, $ef waya, $eô imezwura nne$". I ma imezwura nnsen ur ssinen acemma, ur pwanhan? |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয় যে, আল্লাহর নাযিলকৃত বিধান এবং রসূলের দিকে এস, তখন তারা বলে, আমাদের জন্যে তাই যথেষ্ট, যার উপর আমরা আমাদের বাপ-দাদাকে পেয়েছি। যদি তাদের বাপ দাদারা কোন জ্ঞান না রাখে এবং হেদায়েত প্রাপ্ত না হয় তবুও কি তারা তাই করবে? |
Literal | And if (it) was said to them: "Come to what God descended and to the messenger." They said: "Enough for us what we found our fathers on it." And even if their fathers were not knowing a thing and nor being guided. |
Yusuf Ali | When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed; come to the Messenger": They say: "Enough for us are the ways we found our fathers following." what! even though their fathers were void of knowledge and guidance? |
Pickthal | And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath revealed and unto the messenger, they say: Enough for us is that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever, and no guidance? |
Arberry | And when it is said to them, 'Come now to what God has sent down, and the Messenger, they say, 'Enough for us is what we found our fathers doing.' What, even if their fathers had knowledge of naught and were not guided? |
Shakir | And when it is said to them, Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger, they say: That on which we found our fathers is sufficient for us. What! even though their fathers knew nothing and did not follow the right way. |
Sarwar | When they are told to refer to the guidance of God and to the Messenger, they say, "The tradition of our fathers is sufficient for our guidance," even though, in fact, their fathers had neither knowledge nor proper guidance. |
H/K/Saheeh | And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," they say, "Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers." Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided? |
