| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[43:8] | Faahlakna ashadda minhum batshanwamada mathalu al-awwaleena
|  فأهلكنا أشد منهم بطشا ومضى مثل الأولين
فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَى مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Words | |فأهلكنا - Then We destroyed| أشد - stronger| منهم - than them| بطشا - (in) power| ومضى - and has passed| مثل - (the) example| الأولين - (of) the former (people).| |

| ከእነርሱም በኀይል ይበልጥ የበረቱትን አጥፍተናል፡፡ የፊተኞቹም (አጠፋፍ) ምሳሌ አልፏል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فأهلكنا أشد منهم } من قومك { بطشاً } قوة { ومضى } سبق في آيات { مثل الأولين } صفتهم في الإهلاك فعاقبة قومك كذلك . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সুতরাং আমি তাদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তি সম্পন্নদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। পূর্ববর্তীদের এ ঘটনা অতীত হয়ে গেছে। |
| Literal | So We destroyed , (those who were) stronger than them violent destruction/attack, and the first's/beginner's proverb/example passed/expired |
| Yusuf Ali | So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old. |
