| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[38:62] | Waqaloo ma lana lanara rijalan kunna naAAudduhum mina al-ashrari
|  وقالوا ما لنا لا نرى رجالا كنا نعدهم من الأشرار
وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَى رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they (will) say,| ما - "What (is)| لنا - for us| لا - not| نرى - we see| رجالا - men| كنا - we used to| نعدهم - count them| من - among| الأشرار - the bad ones?| |

| ይላሉም «ለእኛ ምን አለን? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች (እዚህ) አናይምሳ፡፡» |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } أي كفار مكة وهم في النار { ما لنا لا نرى رجالا كنا نعدهم } في الدنيا { من الأشرار } . |
| Nnan: "acu i $ iu$en, ur nwala ara irgazen, i nella nêesb iten seg imcumen mavi? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা আরও বলবে, আমাদের কি হল যে, আমরা যাদেরকে মন্দ লোক বলে গণ্য করতাম, তাদেরকে এখানে দেখছি না। |
| Literal | And they said: "Why (is it) for us, we do not see men, we were, we count them from the bad/evil/harmful?"331 |
| Yusuf Ali | And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? |
| Pickthal | And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? |
