بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [38:26] | Ya dawoodu inna jaAAalnakakhaleefatan fee al-ardi faohkum bayna alnnasibialhaqqi wala tattabiAAi alhawa fayudillakaAAan sabeeli Allahi inna allatheena yadilloonaAAan sabeeli Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun bimanasoo yawma alhisabi
| يا داوود إنا جعلناك خليفة في الأرض فاحكم بين الناس بالحق ولا تتبع الهوى فيضلك عن سبيل الله إن الذين يضلون عن سبيل الله لهم عذاب شديد بما نسوا يوم الحساب يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَى فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ |

| ዳውድ ሆይ! እኛ በምድር ላይ ምትክ አድርገንሃልና በሰዎች መካከል በእውነት ፍረድ፡፡ ዝንባሌሀንም አትከተል፤ከአላህ መንገድ ያሳሳትሃልና፡፡ እነዚያ ከአላህ መንገድ የሚሳሳቱ የምርመራውን ቀን በመርሳታቸው ለእነርሱ ብርቱ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { يا داود إنا جعلناك خليفة في الأرض } تدبر أمر الناس { فاحكم بين الناس بالحق ولا تتبع الهوى } أي هوى النفس { فيضلك عن سبيل الله } أي عن الدلائل الدالة على توحيده { إن الذين يضلون عن سبيل الله } أي عن الإيمان بالله { لهم عذاب شديد بما نسوا } بنسيانهم { يوم الحساب } المرتب عليه تركهم الإيمان، وقالوا أيقنوا بيوم الحساب لآمنوا في الدنيا . |
| A Dawed, Nerra k, ih, d agensas di tmurt. Ëudd ger imdanen s tidep, ur îîafaô lhawiyya, a k tetlef seg ubrid n Öebbi. Ihi, wid innetlafen seg ubrid n Öebbi, fellasen aâaqeb uqsiê, imi ppun ass iqeîîiyen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | হে দাউদ! আমি তোমাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করেছি, অতএব, তুমি মানুষের মাঝে ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে রাজত্ব কর এবং খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করো না। তা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেবে। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি, এ কারণে যে, তারা হিসাবদিবসকে ভূলে যায়। |
Literal | You David, that We made/put you (as) a caliph/leader in the land/Earth , so judge/rule between the people with the truth/just , and do not follow the self attraction for desire , so it misguides you from God's way/path , that those who misguide from God's way/path, for them (is) a strong (severe) torture because (of) what they forgot the Account Day/Resurrection Day. |
Yusuf Ali | O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. |
Pickthal | (And it was said unto him): O David! Lo! We have set thee as a viceroy in the earth; therefor judge aright between mankind, and follow not desire that it beguile thee from the way of Allah. Lo! those who wander from the way of Allah have an awful doom, forasmuch as they forgot the Day of Reckoning. |
Arberry | 'David, behold, We have appointed thee a viceroy in the earth; therefore judge between men justly, and follow not caprice, lest it lead thee astray from the way of God. Surely those who go astray from the way of God -- there awaits them a terrible chastisement, for that they have forgotten the Day of Reckoning.' |
Shakir | o Dawood ! surely We have made you a ruler in the land; so judge between men with justice and do not follow desire, lest it should lead you astray from the path of Allah; (as for) those who go astray from the path of Allah, they shall surely have a severe punishment because they forgot the day of reckoning. |

| Hay Dawood, mataan! a Skami na biyaloy Ami ska a khalifah ko lopa: Na kokomang ka so manga manosiya sa ontol: Go ding ka pagonoti so kabaya a ribat, ka madadag ka niyan ko lalan o Allah: Mataan! a so phangadadadag ko lalan o Allah, na adn a bagian iran a siksa a sangat, sabap ko kiyapakalipati ran ko alongan a kapamagitong. |
Ahmed Raza Khan | اے داؤد بیشک ہم نے تجھے زمین میں نائب کیا تو لوگوں میں سچا حکم کر اور خواہش کے پیچھے نہ جانا کہ تجھے اللہ کی راہ سے بہکادے گی، بیشک وہ جو اللہ کی راہ سے بہکتے ہیں ان کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اس پر کہ وہ حساب کے دن کو بھول بیٹھے |
