[37:71] | Walaqad dalla qablahum aktharual-awwaleena
|  ولقد ضل قبلهم أكثر الأولين
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| ضل - went astray| قبلهم - before them| أكثر - most| الأولين - (of) the former (people),| |

| ከእነርሱ በፊትም የቀድሞዎቹ (ሕዝቦች) አብዛኞቻቸው በእርግጥ ተሳስተዋል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولقد ضل قبلهم أكثر الأولين } من الأمم الماضية . |
| Ni$ nnetlafen, uqbel nnsen, tegwti seg imezwura. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের পূর্বেও অগ্রবর্তীদের অধিকাংশ বিপথগামী হয়েছিল। |
| Literal | And most of the first/beginners had been (E) misguided before them. |
| Yusuf Ali | And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- |
