| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[37:30] | Wama kana lanaAAalaykum min sultanin bal kuntum qawman tagheena
|  وما كان لنا عليكم من سلطان بل كنتم قوما طاغين
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ |
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| لنا - for us| عليكم - over you| من - any| سلطان - authority.| بل - Nay,| كنتم - you were| قوما - a people| طاغين - transgressing.| |

| «ለእኛም በእናንተ ላይ ምንም ስልጣን አልነበረንም፡፡ በእርግጥ እናንተ ጠማሞች ሕዝቦች ነበራችሁ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما كان لنا عليكم من سلطان } قوة وقدرة تقهركم على متابعتنا { بل كنتم قوما طاغين } ضالين مثلنا . |
| Ur nesâi kra udabu, fellawen. Xaîi, tellam d agdud ijuôen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এবং তোমাদের উপর আমাদের কোন কতৃত্ব ছিল না, বরং তোমরাই ছিলে সীমালংঘনকারী সম্প্রদায়। |
| Literal | And (there) was not from power/control for us over you, but you were a tyrannizing/arrogant nation. |
