| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[36:22] | Wama liya la aAAbudu allatheefataranee wa-ilayhi turjaAAoona
|  وما لي لا أعبد الذي فطرني وإليه ترجعون
وَمَا لِي لاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Words | |وما - And what| لي - (is) for me| لا - (that) not| أعبد - I worship| الذي - the One Who| فطرني - created me| وإليه - and to Whom| ترجعون - you will be returned?| |

| «ያንንም የፈጠረኝን፤ ወደርሱም የምትመለሱበትን (ጌታ) የማልገዛ ለእኔ ምን አለኝ?» (አለ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | فقال { وما لي لا أعبد الذي فطرني } خلقني، أي لا مانع لي من عبادته الموجود مقتضيها وأنتم كذلك { وإليه ترجعون } بعد الموت فيجازيكم بكفركم. |
| Amek ur âabde$ ara Win iyi d Ixelqen, u $uôeS tu$alin nnwen? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমার কি হল যে, যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যার কাছে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে, আমি তাঁর এবাদত করব না? |
| Literal | And why for me (that) I not worship who created me/brought me into being , and to him you are being returned. |
| Yusuf Ali | "It would not be reasonable in me if I did not serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back. |
| Pickthal | For what cause should I not serve Him Who hath created me, and unto Whom ye will be brought back? |
| Arberry | And why should I not serve Him who originated me, and unto whom you shall be returned? |
