| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[34:45] | Wakaththaba allatheena minqablihim wama balaghoo miAAshara ma ataynahumfakaththaboo rusulee fakayfa kana nakeeri
|  وكذب الذين من قبلهم وما بلغوا معشار ما آتيناهم فكذبوا رسلي فكيف كان نكير
وَكَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا بَلَغُوا مِعْشَارَ مَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوا رُسُلِي فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ |
| Words | |وكذب - And denied| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them| قبلهم - (were) before them| وما - and not| بلغوا - they have attained| معشار - a tenth| ما - (of) what| آتيناهم - We (had) given them.| فكذبوا - But they denied| رسلي - My Messengers,| فكيف - so how| كان - was| نكير - My rejection?| |

| እነዚያም ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት አስተባብለዋል፡፡ የሰጠናቸውንም ከዐስር አንዱን (እነዚህ) አልደረሱም፡፡ መልክተኞቼንም አስተባበሉ፤ (ነቀፍኳቸውም)፡፡ መንቀፌም እንዴት ነበር! |
| آل الجلالين | { وكذب الذين من قبلهم وما بلغوا } أي هؤلاء { معشار ما آتيناهم } من القوة وطول العمر وكثرة المال { فكذبوا رسلي } إليهم { فكيف كان نكير } إنكاري عليهم العقوبة والإهلاك، أي هو واقع موقعه . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছে। আমি তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছিলাম, এরা তার এক দশমাংশও পায়নি। এরপরও তারা আমার রাসূলগনকে মিথ্যা বলেছে। অতএব কেমন হয়েছে আমার শাস্তি। |
| Literal | And those from before them lied/denied , and they did not reach one tenth what We gave/brought them, so they denied My messengers, so how was My severity/change (anger) ? |
| Yusuf Ali | And their predecessors rejected (the Truth); these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My messengers, how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! |
| Pickthal | Those before them denied, and these have not attained a tithe of that which We bestowed on them (of old); yet they denied My messengers. How intense then was My abhorrence (of them)! |
