بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [3:153] | Ith tusAAidoona walatalwoona AAala ahadin waalrrasooluyadAAookum fee okhrakum faathabakum ghammanbighammin likay la tahzanoo AAala mafatakum wala ma asabakum waAllahukhabeerun bima taAAmaloona
| إذ تصعدون ولا تلوون على أحد والرسول يدعوكم في أخراكم فأثابكم غما بغم لكيلا تحزنوا على ما فاتكم ولا ما أصابكم والله خبير بما تعملون إِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاَ تَلْوُونَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِي أُخْرَاكُمْ فَأَثَابَكُمْ غَمًّا بِغَمٍّ لِّكَيْلاَ تَحْزَنُواْ عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلاَ مَا أَصَابَكُمْ وَاللّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
Words | |إذ - When| تصعدون - you were running uphill| ولا - and not| تلوون - casting a glance| على - on| أحد - anyone| والرسول - while the Messenger| يدعوكم - was calling you| في - [in]| أخراكم - (from) behind you.| فأثابكم - So (He) repaid you| غما - (with) distress| بغم - on distress| لكيلا - so that not| تحزنوا - you grieve| على - over| ما - what| فاتكم - escaped you| ولا - and not| ما - what| أصابكم - (had) befallen you.| والله - And Allah| خبير - (is) All-Aware| بما - of what| تعملون - you do.| |

| መልክተኛው ከኋላችሁ የሚጠራችሁ ሲኾን ርቃችሁ በምትሸሹና በአንድም ላይ የማትዞሩ በኾናችሁ ጊዜ (አስታውሱ)፡፡ ባመለጣችሁና በደረሰባችሁም ነገር እንድታዝኑ በሐሳብ ላይ ሐሳብን መነዳችሁ፡፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | اذكروا { إذ تصعدون } تبعدون في الأرض هاربين { ولا تلوون } تعرجون { على أحد والرسولُ يدعوكم في أخراكم } أي من ورائكم يقول إليَّ عباد الله { فأثابكم } فجازاكم { غمّاً } بالهزيمة { بغمٍّ } بسبب غمِّكم للرسول بالمخالفة وقيل الباء بمعنى على، أي مضاعفا على غم فوت الغنيمة { لكيلا } متعلق بعفا أو بأثابكم فلا زائدة { تحزنوا على ما فاتكم } من الغنيمة { ولا ما أصابكم } من القتل والهزيمة { والله خبير بما تعملون } . |
| Mi tulim ur d tezzim, u Nnbi inecced ikwen ar ineggura nnwen. Ineûûef awen a$ilif s wayev, iwakken ur t$webnem $ef wayen i wen iôuêen, akked wayen ikwen iu$en. Öebbi Iéôa ayen txeddmem. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তোমরা উপরে উঠে যাচ্ছিলে এবং পেছন দিকে ফিরে তাকাচ্ছিলে না কারো প্রতি, অথচ রসূল ডাকছিলেন তোমাদিগকে তোমাদের পেছন দিক থেকে। অতঃপর তোমাদের উপর এলো শোকের ওপরে শোক, যাতে তোমরা হাত থেকে বেরিয়ে যাওয়া বস্তুর জন্য দুঃখ না কর এবং যার সম্মুখীণ হচ্ছ সেজন্য বিমর্ষ না হও। আর আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজের ব্যাপারে অবহিত রয়েছেন। |
Literal | When you ascend/have hardship and do not wait/stop on anyone, and the messenger calls you in your end/back , so you were flooded/rewarded grief/depression with a grief/depression, so that you not43be saddened on what passed/missed you permanently, and nor what struck you, and God (is) expert/experienced with what you make/do. |
Yusuf Ali | Behold! ye were climbing up the high ground, without even casting a side glance at any one, and the Messenger in your rear was calling you back. There did Allah give you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for (the booty) that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do. |
Pickthal | When ye climbed (the hill) and paid no heed to anyone, while the messenger, in your rear, was calling you (to fight). Therefor He rewarded you grief for (his) grief, that (He might teach) you not to sorrow either for that which ye missed or for that which befell you. Allah is Informed of what ye do. |
Arberry | When you were going up, not twisting about for anyone, and the Messenger was calling you in your rear; so He rewarded you with grief on grief that you might not sorrow for what escaped you neither for what smote you; and God is aware of the things you do. |
Shakir | When you ran off precipitately and did not wait for any one, and the Messenger was calling you from your rear, so He gave you another sorrow instead of (your) sorrow, so that you might not grieve at what had escaped you, nor (at) what befell you; and Allah is aware of what you do. |
Sarwar | (Believers remember) when you were fleeing without even glancing to either side even though the Messengers were calling you back, God made you suffer sorrow upon sorrow to make you forget your grief of what you had lost and the injuries you had suffered. God is Well-Aware of what you do. |
H/K/Saheeh | [Remember] when you [fled and] climbed [the mountain] without looking aside at anyone while the Messenger was calling you from behind. So Allah repaid you with distress upon distress so you would not grieve for that which had escaped you [of victory and spoils of war] or [for] that which had befallen you [of injury and death]. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do. |
Malik | Behold! ye were climbing up the high ground, without even casting a side glance at any one, and the Messenger in your rear was calling you back. There did Allah give you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for (the booty) that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you. Maulana Ali** | When you went away far, and paid no heed to anyone, and the Messenger was calling you in your rear. So He gave you (another) grief for (your) first grief that you might not grieve at what escaped you, nor (at) what befell you. And Allah is Aware of what you do. |

QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | You were climbing up the hill without looking around and the Messenger was calling you. You suffered according to Allah's Law of Requital. | Ahdinkonne jälkeen Hän lähetti teille turvallisuuden tunteen ja unen, joka valtasi osan teistä. Toiset teistä taas kiihoittivat itseään väärillä kuvitteluilla Jumalasta. He sanoivat: »Onko meillä oikeastaan tekemistä tämän asian kanssa?» Sano: »Koko asia on Jumalan». He salasivat sydämessään jotakin, jota eivät sinulle ilmaisseet, ja sanoivat: »Jos meille olisi tarkoitettu jokin tulos tästä asiasta, ei meitä olisi lyöty täällä». Sano: »Vaikka olisitte olleet taloissanne, niin totisesti olisivat ne, joiden kuolema oli määrätty, saaneet surmansa kentälle. Tämä (sallittiin sen vuoksi, että Jumala koettelisi, mitä kätkeytyy rintaanne, ja tutkisi sen, mikä on teidän sydämissänne.» Jumala tuntee sydänten sisimmät aivoitukset. |
| Gowani ko pphamanakdg kano, na da a plilingayn iyo a isa bo, a so Rasol na pthalowan kano niyan sii ko talikhodan iyo. Na biyalasan kano niyan sa boko sabap sa kiyapakamboko (o Rasol), ka an iyo di mipmboko so miyalpas rkano, go so minisogat rkano (a tiyoba). Na so Allah na Kaip Iyan so gii niyo nggolawlaan. |
Ahmed Raza Khan | جب تم منہ اٹھائے چلے جاتے تھے اور پیٹھ پھیر کر کسی کو نہ دیکھتے اور دوسری جماعت میں ہمارے رسول تمہیں پکار رہے تھے تو تمہیں غم کا بدلہ غم دیا اور معافی اس لئے سنائی کہ جو ہاتھ سے گیا اور جو افتاد پڑی اس کا رنج نہ کرو اور اللہ کوتمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے، |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | (وہ وقت بھی یاد کرنے کے لائق ہے) جب تم لوگ دور بھاگے جاتے تھے اور کسی کو پیچھے پھر کر نہیں دیکھتے تھے اور رسول الله تم کو تمہارے پیچھے کھڑے بلا رہے تھے تو خدا نے تم کو غم پر غم پہنچایا تاکہ جو چیز تمہارے ہاتھ سے جاتی رہی یا جو مصیبت تم پر واقع ہوئی ہے اس سے تم اندوہ ناک نہ ہو اور خدا تمہارے سب اعمال سے خبردار ہے |
Mehmood Al Hassan | جب تم چڑھے چلے جاتے تھے اور پیچھے پھر کر نہ دیکھتے تھے کسی کو اور رسول پکارتا تھا تم کو تمہارے پیچھے سے پھرپہنچا تم کو غم عوض میں غم کے تاکہ تم غم نہ کیا کرو اس پر جو ہاتھ سے نکل جاوے اور نہ اس پر کہ جو کچھ پیش آ جاوے اور اللہ کو خبر ہے تمہارے |
Abul Ala Maududi | یاد کرو جب تم بھاگے چلے جا رہے تھے، کسی کی طرف پلٹ کر دیکھنے تک کا ہوش تمہیں نہ تھا، اور رسولؐ تمہارے پیچھے تم کو پکار رہا تھا اُس وقت تمہاری اس روش کا بدلہ اللہ نے تمہیں یہ دیا کہ تم کو رنج پر رنج دیے تاکہ آئندہ کے لیے تمہیں یہ سبق ملے کہ جو کچھ تمہارے ہاتھ سے جائے یا جو مصیبت تم پر نازل ہو اس پر ملول نہ ہو اللہ تمہارے سب اعمال سے باخبر ہے |
