1 [22:48] | Wakaayyin min qaryatin amlaytu lahawahiya thalimatun thumma akhathtuhawa-ilayya almaseeru
| وكأين من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها وإلي المصير وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ |
Words | |وكأين - And how many| من - of| قرية - a township| أمليت - I gave respite| لها - to it,| وهي - while it| ظالمة - (was) doing wrong.| ثم - Then| أخذتها - I seized it| وإلي - and to Me| المصير - (is) the destination.| |

| ከከተማ እርሷ በዳይ ሆና ለእርሷ ጊዜ የሰጠኋትና ከዚያም የያዝኳት ብዙ ናት፡፡ መመለሻም ወደኔ ብቻ ነው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وكأيِّن من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها } المراد أهلها { وإليَّ المصير } المرجع . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এবং আমি কত জনপদকে অবকাশ দিয়েছি এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা গোনাহগার ছিল। এরপর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি এবং আমার কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। |
Literal | And how many from a village/urban city I extended in time/life for it, and it is unjust/oppressive? Then I took/punished it, and to Me (is) the end/destination. |
Yusuf Ali | And to how many populations did I give respite, which were given to wrong-doing? in the end I punished them. To me is the destination (of all). |
Pickthal | And how many a township did I suffer long though it was sinful! Then I grasped it. Unto Me is the return. |
Arberry | How many a city I have respited in its evildoing; then I seized it, and to Me was the homecoming. |
Shakir | And how many a town to which I gave respite while it was unjust, then I overtook it, and to Me is the return. |
