| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:72] | Wa-ith qataltum nafsan faiddara/tumfeeha waAllahu mukhrijun ma kuntumtaktumoona
|  وإذ قتلتم نفسا فادارأتم فيها والله مخرج ما كنتم تكتمون
وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْساً فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا وَاللّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا كُنْـتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ |
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قتلتم - you killed| نفسا - a man,| فادارأتم - then you disputed| فيها - concerning it,| والله - but Allah| مخرج - (is) the One Who brought forth| ما - what| كنتم - you were| تكتمون - concealing.| |

| ነፍስነም በገደላችሁና በርሷም (ገዳይ) በተከራከራችሁ ጊዜ (አስታውሱ)፡፡ አላህም ትደብቁት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ገላጭ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا قتلتم نفساً فأدّارأتم } فيه إدغام التاء في الأصل في الدال أي تخاصمتم وتدافعتم { فيها والله مخرج } مظهر { ما كنتم تكتمون } من أمرها وهذا اعتراض وهو أول القصة . |
| Mi ten$am yiwen, wa irra p id $ef wa. Öebbi Issuffe$ ed ayen teppeffrem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন তোমরা একজনকে হত্যা করে পরে সে সম্পর্কে একে অপরকে অভিযুক্ত করেছিলে। যা তোমরা গোপন করছিলে, তা প্রকাশ করে দেয়া ছিল আল্লাহর অভিপ্রায়। |
| Literal | And when you (P) killed a self, so you repelled (accusations amongst yourselves) in it, and God (is) bringing out what you were hiding/concealing. |
| Yusuf Ali | Remember ye slew a man and fell into a dispute among yourselves as to the crime: But Allah was to bring forth what ye did hide. |
| Pickthal | And (remember) when ye slew a man and disagreed concerning it and Allah brought forth that which ye were hiding. |
| Arberry | And when you killed a living soul, and disputed thereon -- and God disclosed what you were hiding -- |
