1 [2:204] | Wamina alnnasi man yuAAjibukaqawluhu fee alhayati alddunyawayushhidu Allaha AAala ma fee qalbihiwahuwa aladdu alkhisami
| ومن الناس من يعجبك قوله في الحياة الدنيا ويشهد الله على ما في قلبه وهو ألد الخصام وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللّهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ |
Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is the one) who| يعجبك - pleases you| قوله - (with) his speech| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ويشهد - and he calls to witness| الله - Allah| على - on| ما - what| في - (is) in| قلبه - his heart,| وهو - and he| ألد - (is) the most quarrelsome| الخصام - (of) opponents.| |

| ከሰዎችም ውስጥ እርሱ ክርክረ ብርቱ ሲኾን በቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ንግግሩ የሚደንቅህና በልቡ ውስጥ ባለው ነገር ላይ አላህን የሚያስመሰክር ሰው አልለ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ومن الناس من يعجبك قوله في الحياة الدنيا } ولا يعجبك في الآخرة مخالفته لاعتقاده { ويُشهد الله على ما في قلبه } أنه موافق لقوله { وهو ألدُّ الخصام } شديد الخصومة لك ولأتباعك لعداوته لك وهو الأخنس بن شريق كان منافقاً حلو الكلام للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يحلف أنه مؤمن به ومحب له فيدنى مجلسه فأكذبه الله في ذلك ومر بزرع وَحُمُر لبعض المسلمين فأحرقه وعقرها ليلا كما قال تعالى . |
| Yiwen ger imdanen, iâoeb ik umeslay is, $ef tmeddurt n ddunit. Irra Öebbi d Anagi, $ef wayen illan deg ul is. U neppa iqseê i tilla. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর এমন কিছু লোক রযেছে যাদের পার্থিব জীবনের কথাবার্তা তোমাকে চমৎকৃত করবে। আর তারা সাক্ষ্য স্থাপন করে আল্লাহকে নিজের মনের কথার ব্যাপারে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারা কঠিন ঝগড়াটে লোক। |
Literal | And from the people, whom his saying pleases/marvels you in the life the present/the worldly life, and he makes God (a) witness on what is in his heart/mind , and he is (the) harshest/most violent disputer (in) the dispute/controversy . |
Yusuf Ali | There is the type of man whose speech about this world's life May dazzle thee, and he calls Allah to witness about what is in his heart; yet is he the most contentious of enemies. |
Pickthal | And of mankind there is he whoso conversation on the life of this world pleaseth thee (Muhammad), and he calleth Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart; yet he is the most rigid of opponents. |
Arberry | And some men there are whose saying upon the present world pleases thee, and such a one calls on God to witness what is in his heart, yet he is most stubborn in altercation, |
Shakir | And among men is he whose speech about the life of this world causes you to wonder, and he calls on Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the most violent of adversaries. |
Sarwar | There are some people whose words about this life may please you. They say that God knows what they have in their hearts. But, in fact, they are the most quarrelsome opponents. |

Malik | Among the people there is one whose speech fascinates you in this worldly life; he may even call upon Allah to witness what is in his heart, yet he is your staunch opponent.[204] |
