| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:111] | Waqaloo lan yadkhula aljannata illaman kana hoodan aw nasara tilka amaniyyuhumqul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena
|  وقالوا لن يدخل الجنة إلا من كان هودا أو نصارى تلك أمانيهم قل هاتوا برهانكم إن كنتم صادقين
وَقَالُواْ لَن يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلاَّ مَن كَانَ هُوداً أَوْ نَصَارَى تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُواْ بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لن - "Never| يدخل - will enter| الجنة - the Paradise| إلا - except| من - who| كان - is| هودا - (a) Jew[s]| أو - or| نصارى - (a) Christian[s]."| تلك - That| أمانيهم - (is) their wishful thinking.| قل - Say,| هاتوا - "Bring| برهانكم - your proof| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - [those who are] truthful."| |

| «ገነትንም አይሁድን ወይም ክርስቲያኖችን የኾነ ሰው እንጂ ሌላ አይገባትም» አሉ፡፡ ይህቺ (ከንቱ) ምኞታቸው ናት፡፡ «እውነተኞች እንደኾናችሁ አስረጃችሁን አምጡ» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا لن يدخل الجنة إلا من كان هوداً } جمع هائد { أو نصارى } قال ذلك يهود المدينة ونصارى نجران لما تناظروا بين يدي النبي أي قال اليهود لن يدخلها إلا اليهود وقال النصارى لن يدخلها إلا النصارى { تلك } القولة { أمانيهم } شهواتهم الباطلة { قل } لهم { هاتوا برهانكم } حجتكم على ذلك { إن كنتم صادقين } فيه . |
| Nnan: "ur ikeççem Loennet, siwa win illan d uday, ne$ d amasiêi". D wagi ay d asirem nnsen. Ini: "awit ed atebbet nnwen, ma tessawalem tidep". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | ওরা বলে, ইহুদী অথবা খ্রীস্টান ব্যতীত কেউ জান্নাতে যাবে না। এটা ওদের মনের বাসনা। বলে দিন, তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে, প্রমাণ উপস্থিত কর। |
| Literal | And they said: "Will never enter the Paradise except who was Jewish or Christian ." Those are their wishes/desires. Say: "Give me your proof/evidence if you were truthful." |
| Yusuf Ali | And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if ye are truthful." |
