| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[19:81] | Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahialihatan liyakoonoo lahum AAizzan
|  واتخذوا من دون الله آلهة ليكونوا لهم عزا
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمْ عِزًّا |
| Words | |واتخذوا - And they have taken| من - besides Allah,| دون - besides Allah,| الله - besides Allah,| آلهة - gods,| ليكونوا - that they may be| لهم - for them| عزا - an honor.| |

| ከአላህም ሌላ አማልክትን ለእነሱ መከበሪያ (አማላጅ) እንዲኾኑዋቸው ያዙ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { واتخذوا } أي كفار مكة { من دون الله } الأوثان { آلهة } يعبدونهم { ليكونوا لهم عزا } شفعاء عند الله بألا يعذبوا . |
| Xtaôen, war Öebbi, iôebbiten ar asen d iawin tazmert. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য ইলাহ গ্রহণ করেছে, যাতে তারা তাদের জন্যে সাহায্যকারী হয়। |
| Literal | And they took/received from other than God gods, to be for them glory/might/honour . |
| Yusuf Ali | And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! |
| Pickthal | And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. |
| Arberry | And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. |
| Shakir | And they have taken gods besides Allah, that they should be to them a source of strength; |
