| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[19:7] | Ya zakariyya innanubashshiruka bighulamin ismuhu yahya lamnajAAal lahu min qablu samiyyan
|  يا زكريا إنا نبشرك بغلام اسمه يحيى لم نجعل له من قبل سميا
يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلاَمٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا |
| Words | |يا - O| زكريا - "O Zakariya!| إنا - Indeed, We| نبشرك - [We] give you glad tidings| بغلام - of a boy| اسمه - his name| يحيى - (will be) Yahya,| لم - not| نجعل - We (have) assigned| له - [for] it| من - before| قبل - before| سميا - (this) name."| |

| «ዘከሪያ ሆይ! እኛ በወንድ ልጅ ስሙ የሕያ በኾነ ከዚህ በፊት ሞክሼን ባላደረግንለት እናበስርሃለን» (አለው)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { يا زكريا إنا نبشرك بغلامِ } يَرثُ كما سألت { اسمه يحيى لم نجعل له من قبل سميا } أي: مسمى بيحيى . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | হে যাকারিয়া, আমি তোমাকে এক পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছি, তার নাম হবে ইয়াহইয়া। ইতিপূর্বে এই নামে আমি কারও নাম করণ করিনি। |
