[18:94] | Qaloo ya tha alqarnayniinna ya/jooja wama/jooja mufsidoona fee al-ardi fahalnajAAalu laka kharjan AAala an tajAAala baynanawabaynahum saddan
|  قالوا يا ذا القرنين إن يأجوج ومأجوج مفسدون في الأرض فهل نجعل لك خرجا على أن تجعل بيننا وبينهم سدا
قَالُوا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَى أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا |
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| ذا - "O Dhul-qarnain!| القرنين - "O Dhul-qarnain!| إن - Indeed,| يأجوج - Yajuj| ومأجوج - and Majuj| مفسدون - (are) corrupters| في - in| الأرض - the land.| فهل - So may| نجعل - we make| لك - for you| خرجا - an expenditure| على - [on]| أن - that| تجعل - you make| بيننا - between us| وبينهم - and between them| سدا - a barrier?"| |

| «ዙልቀርነይን ሆይ! የእጁጅና መእጁጅ በምድር ላይ አበላሺዎች ናቸውና በእኛና በእነሱ መካከል ግድብን ታደርግልን ዘንድ ግብርን እናድርግልህን» አሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قالوا يا ذا القرنين إن يأجوج ومأجوج } بالهمز وتركه: هما اسمان أعجميان لقبيلتين فلم ينصرفا { مفسدون في الأرض } بالنهب والبغي عند خروجهم إلينا { فهل نجعل لك خرجا } جعلاً من المال وفي قراءة خراجا { على أن تجعل بيننا وبينهم سداً } حاجزا فلا يصلون إلينا . |
| Nnan: "a Bu sin wacciwen, s tidep, Iaouo akked Maouo la ssefsaden di tmurt. A k nxelleû ma terriv ûûuô garane$ yidsen". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বললঃ হে যুলকারনাইন, ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজ দেশে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করেছে। আপনি বললে আমরা আপনার জন্যে কিছু কর ধার্য করব এই শর্তে যে, আপনি আমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেবেন। |
| Literal | They said: "You (owner) of the two horns/powers/glories, that Yagog and Magog (are) corrupting in the earth/Planet Earth, so do we make/put for you (a) royalty/retainer/expense/tribute on that you put/create between us and between them a barrier/obstacle ?" |
| Yusuf Ali | They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them? |
