| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:88] | Allatheena kafaroo wasaddooAAan sabeeli Allahi zidnahum AAathaban fawqaalAAathabi bima kanoo yufsidoona
|  الذين كفروا وصدوا عن سبيل الله زدناهم عذابا فوق العذاب بما كانوا يفسدون
الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يُفْسِدُونَ |
| Words | |الذين - And those who| كفروا - disbelieved| وصدوا - and hindered| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| زدناهم - We will increase them| عذابا - (in) punishment| فوق - over| العذاب - punishment| بما - because| كانوا - they used (to)| يفسدون - spread corruption.| |

| እነዚያ የካዱ፣ ከአላህም መንገድ የከለከሉ ያጠፉ በነበሩት ምክንያት ቅጣትን በቅጣት ላይ ጨመርንባቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { الذين كفروا وصدوا } الناس { عن سبيل الله } دينه { زدناهم عذابا فوق العذاب } الذي استحقوه بكفرهم قال ابن مسعود: عقارب أنيابها كالنخل الطوال { بما كانوا يفسدون } بصدهم الناس عن الإيمان . |
| Wid ijehlen, u sîixxiôen seg ubrid n Öebbi, Nerna yasen aâaqeb sennig wayev, ilmend n wayen ssefsaden. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যারা কাফের হয়েছে এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করেছে, আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের পর আযাব বাড়িয়ে দেব। কারণ, তারা অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করত। |
| Literal | Those who disbelieved and prevented/obstructed from Gods' way/path , We increased them torture over/on the torture, because (of) what they were corrupting/disordering . |
| Yusuf Ali | Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief. |
| Pickthal | For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption, |
