| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:85] | Wa-itha raa allatheena thalamooalAAathaba fala yukhaffafu AAanhum wala humyuntharoona
|  وإذا رأى الذين ظلموا العذاب فلا يخفف عنهم ولا هم ينظرون
وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ الْعَذَابَ فَلاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| رأى - (will) see| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| العذاب - the punishment,| فلا - then not| يخفف - it will be lightened| عنهم - for them| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| |

| እነዚያም የበደሉት ቅጣቱን ባዩ ጊዜ ከእነሱ (ቅጣቱ) አይቀለልላቸውም፡፡ እነሱም ጊዜ አይስሰጡም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا رأى الذين ظلموا } كفروا { العذاب } النار { فلا يُخفف عنهم } العذاب { ولا هم يُنظرون } يمهلون عنه إذا رأوه . |
| Mi walan, imednas, aâaqeb, ur ippifsus fellasen, ur ppestaâfun. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন জালেমরা আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, তখন তাদের থেকে তা লঘু করা হবে না এবং তাদেরকে কোন অবকাশ দেয়া হবে না। |
| Literal | And if those who caused injustice/oppression saw/understood the torture, so (it) does not be reduced/lightened from them, and nor they be given time/looked at . |
| Yusuf Ali | When the wrong-doers (actually) see the Penalty, then will it in no way be mitigated, nor will they then receive respite. |
| Pickthal | And when those who did wrong behold the doom, it will not be made light for them, nor will they be reprieved. |
| Arberry | And when the evildoers behold the chastisement, it shall not be lightened for them, and no respite shall be given them. |
