| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:56] | WayajAAaloona lima layaAAlamoona naseeban mimma razaqnahum taAllahilatus-alunna AAamma kuntum taftaroona
|  ويجعلون لما لا يعلمون نصيبا مما رزقناهم تالله لتسألن عما كنتم تفترون
وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ نَصِيبًا مِّمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ تَاللّهِ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَفْتَرُونَ |
| Words | |ويجعلون - And they assign| لما - to what| لا - not| يعلمون - they know -| نصيبا - a portion,| مما - of what| رزقناهم - We have provided them.| تالله - By Allah| لتسألن - surely you will be asked| عما - about what| كنتم - you used (to)| تفترون - invent.| |

| ለማያውቁትም (ጣዖታት) ከሰጠናቸው ሲሳይ ፈንታን ያደርጋሉ፡፡ በአላህ እምላለሁ፤ ትቀጣጥፉት ከነበራችሁት ሁሉ በእርግጥ ትጠየቃላችሁ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ويجعلون } أي المشركون { لما لا يعلمون } أنها تضر ولا تنفع وهي الأصنام { نصيباً مما رزقناهم } من الحرث والأنعام بقولهم هذا لله لشركائنا { تالله لتسألن } سؤال توبيخ وفيه التفات عن الغيبة { عما كنتم تفترون } على الله من أنه أمركم بذلك . |
| La qesden, i wur ssinen, amur seg wayen is iten Neôzeq. S Öebbi, ar fellawen asteqsi, $ef wayen id tesnulfuyem! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা আমার দেয়া জীবনোপকরণ থেকে তাদের জন্যে একটি অংশ নির্ধারিত করে, যাদের কোন খবরই তারা রাখে না। আল্লাহর কসম, তোমরা যে অপবাদ আরোপ করছ, সে সম্পর্কে অবশ্যই জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে। |
| Literal | And they make/create/put to what they do not know a share from what We provided for them. By God you will be asked/questioned about what you were fabricating/cutting and splitting. |
| Yusuf Ali | And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. |
| Pickthal | And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. |
| Arberry | And they appoint a share of that We have provided them to what they know not. By God, you shall be questioned as to that you forged. |
