| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:47] | Aw ya/khuthahum AAalatakhawwufin fa-inna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun
|  أو يأخذهم على تخوف فإن ربكم لرءوف رحيم
أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَى تَخَوُّفٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ |
| Words | |أو - Or| يأخذهم - that He may seize them| على - with| تخوف - a gradual wasting| فإن - But indeed,| ربكم - your Lord| لرءوف - (is) surely Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| |

| ወይም ቀስ በቀስ በማጉደል ላይ የሚይዛቸው መኾኑን (አይፈሩምን) ጌታችሁም በእርግጥ ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أو يأخذهم على تخوف } تنقص شيئاً فشيئاً حتى يهلك الجميع حال من الفاعل أو المفعول { فإن ربكم لرءُوف رحيم } حيث لم يعاجلهم بالعقوبة . |
| Ne$ ur ten ikkat ara cwiî, cwiî. Ih, Mass nnwen, war ccekk, Issuruf, Ipêunu. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | কিংবা ভীতি প্রদর্শনের পর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবেন? তোমাদের পালনকর্তা তো অত্যন্ত নম্র, দয়ালু। |
| Literal | Or He takes/receives/punishes them on fear/fright, so that your Lord (is) merciful/compassionate (E), merciful. |
| Yusuf Ali | Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy. |
| Pickthal | Or that He will not seize them with a gradual wasting? Lo! thy Lord is indeed Full of Pity, Merciful. |
| Arberry | Or that He will not seize them, little by little destroying them? Surely thy Lord is All-clement, All-compassionate. |
