| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[13:6] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialssayyi-atiqabla alhasanati waqad khalat min qablihimu almathulatuwa-inna rabbaka lathoo maghfiratin lilnnasiAAala thulmihim wa-inna rabbaka lashadeedualAAiqabi
|  ويستعجلونك بالسيئة قبل الحسنة وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات وإن ربك لذو مغفرة للناس على ظلمهم وإن ربك لشديد العقاب
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ الْمَثُلاَتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالسيئة - the evil| قبل - before| الحسنة - the good| وقد - and verily| خلت - has occurred| من - from| قبلهم - before them| المثلات - [the] similar punishments.| وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لذو - (is) full| مغفرة - (of) forgiveness| للناس - for mankind| على - for| ظلمهم - their wrongdoing,| وإن - and indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لشديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) the penalty.| |

| ከእነሱ በፊት የመሰሎቻቸው ቅጣቶች በእርግጥ ያለፉ ሲኾኑ ከመልካሙ በፊት በመጥፎው ያስቸኩሉሃል፡፡ ጌታህም ለሰዎች ከመበደላቸው ጋር በእርግጥ የምህረት ባለቤት ነው፡፡ ጌታህም በእርግጥ ቅጣተ ብርቱ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ونزل في استعجالهم العذاب استهزاءً { ويستعجلونك بالسيئة } العذاب { قبل الحسنة } الرحمة { وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات } جمع المثلة بوزن الثمرة أي عقوبات أمثالهم من المكذبين أفلا يعتبرون بها ؟ { وإن ربك لذو مغفرة للناس على } مع { ظلمهم } وإلا لم يترك على ظهرها دابة { وإن ربك لشديد العقاب } لمن عصاه . |
| Sêaren k ar tucmip, uqbel ise$. Ni$ vôant am tigi, uqbel nnsen. Mass ik, s tidep, $uôeS ssmaê i imdanen deg wayen ccven. Mass ik, s tidep, Iwâaô deg uâaqeb. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এরা আপনার কাছে মঙ্গলের পরিবর্তে দ্রুত অমঙ্গল কামনা করে। তাদের পূর্বে অনুরূপ অনেক শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত জনগোষ্ঠী অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছে। আপনার পালনকর্তা মানুষকে তাদের অন্যায় সত্বেও ক্ষমা করেন এবং আপনার পালনকর্তা কঠিন শাস্তিদাতা ও বটে। |
| Literal | And they hurry/hasten you with the sin/crime (harm) before the good/goodness, and the punishments and tortures had passed from before them, and that your Lord (is owner) of mercy to the people, on (for) their injustice/oppression, and that your Lord (is) strong (E) (severe in) the punishment. |
| Yusuf Ali | They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment. |
| Pickthal | And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But lo! thy Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrong, and lo! thy Lord is strong in punishment. |
| Arberry | They would have thee hasten the evil ere the good; yet there have passed away before them examples. Thy Lord is forgiving to men, for all their evil-doing, and thy Lord is terrible in retribution. |

| Sarwar | They ask you to bring upon them punishment before they ask you for mercy. Such punishments were already brought upon the people who lived before them. Your Lord, certainly, has forgiveness for the injustice of the people. He is also stern in His retribution. |

In fact your Lord is the Lord of Forgiveness to the people, notwithstanding their wrongdoing; and it is also the fact that your Lord is stern in retribution.[6] |

| Abul Ala Maududi | یہ لوگ بھلائی سے پہلے برائی کے لیے جلدی مچا رہے ہیں حالانکہ ان سے پہلے (جو لوگ اس روش پر چلے ہیں ان پر خدا کے عذاب کی) عبرت ناک مثالیں گزر چکی ہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ تیرا رب لوگوں کی زیادتیوں کے باوجود ان کے ساتھ چشم پوشی سے کام لیتا ہے اور یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ تیرا رب سخت سزا دینے والا ہے |
