| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[13:42] | Waqad makara allatheena min qablihimfalillahi almakru jameeAAan yaAAlamu ma taksibukullu nafsin wasayaAAlamu alkuffaru liman AAuqba alddari
|  وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم فلله المكر جميعا يعلم ما تكسب كل نفس وسيعلم الكفار لمن عقبى الدار
وَقَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلّهِ الْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًا يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الْكُفَّارُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ |
| Words | |وقد - And certainly| مكر - plotted| الذين - those who| من - (were) from| قبلهم - before them,| فلله - but for Allah| المكر - (is) the plot| جميعا - all.| يعلم - He knows| ما - what| تكسب - earns| كل - every| نفس - soul,| وسيعلم - and will know| الكفار - the disbelievers| لمن - for whom| عقبى - (is) the final| الدار - the home.| |

| እነዚያም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ መከሩ፡፡ አዘንግቶም የመያዙ ዘዴ በሙሉ የአላህ ነው፡፡ ነፍስ ሁሉ የምትሠራውን ያውቃል፡፡ ከሓዲዎችም የመጨረሻይቱ አገር ለማን እንደምትኾን ወደፊት ያውቃሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم } من الأمم بأنبيائهم كما مكروا بك { فلله المكر جميعا } وليس مكرهم كمكره لأنه تعالى { يعلم ما تكسب كل نفس } فيعد لها جزاءه وهذا هو المكر كله لأنه يأتيهم به من حيث لا يشعرون { وسيعلم الكافر } المراد به الجنس وفي قراءة الكفار { لمن عقبى الدار } أي العاقبة المحمودة في الدار الآخرة ألهم أم للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের পূর্বে যারা ছিল, তারা চক্রান্ত করেছে। আর সকল চক্রান্ত তো আল্লাহর হাতেই আছে। তিনি জানেন প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি যা কিছু করে। কাফেররা জেনে নেবে যে, পর জীবনের আবাসস্থল কাদের জন্য রয়েছে। |
| Literal | And those from before them had cheated/deceived/schemed, so to God (is) all the cheatery/deceit/scheme. He knows what every self gains/acquires , and the disbelievers will know to whom (is) the house's/home's end/turn (result). |
| Yusuf Ali | Those before them did (also) devise plots; but in all things the master-planning is Allah's He knoweth the doings of every soul: and soon will the Unbelievers know who gets home in the end. |
