بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [12:23] | Warawadat-hu allatee huwa fee baytihaAAan nafsihi waghallaqati al-abwaba waqalat haytalaka qala maAAatha Allahi innahu rabbee ahsanamathwaya innahu la yuflihu alththalimoona
| وراودته التي هو في بيتها عن نفسه وغلقت الأبواب وقالت هيت لك قال معاذ الله إنه ربي أحسن مثواي إنه لا يفلح الظالمون وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الْأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ |
Words | |وراودته - And sought to seduce him| التي - she who,| هو - he (was)| في - in| بيتها - her house| عن - from| نفسه - his self.| وغلقت - And she closed| الأبواب - the doors| وقالت - and she said,| هيت - "Come on| لك - you."| قال - He said,| معاذ - "I seek refuge in Allah.| الله - "I seek refuge in Allah.| إنه - Indeed, he| ربي - (is) my lord| أحسن - (who has) made good| مثواي - my stay.| إنه - Indeed,| لا - not| يفلح - will succeed| الظالمون - the wrongdoers."| |

| ያቺም እርሱ በቤቷ የነበረባት ሴት ከነፍሱ አባበለችው፡፡ ደጃፎቹንም ዘጋች፤ «ላንተ ተዘጋጅቼልሃለሁና ቶሎ ናም» አለችው፡፡ «በአላህ እጠበቃለሁ እርሱ (የገዛኝ) ጌታዬ ኑሮዬን ያሳመረልኝ ነውና፤ (አልከዳውም)፡፡ እነሆ! በደለኞች አይድኑም» አላት፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وراودته التي هو في بيتها } هي زليخا { عن نفسه } أي طلبت منه أن يواقعها { وغلَّقت الأبواب } للبيت { وقالت } له { هيْت لك } أي هلم واللام للتبيين وفي قراءة بكسر الهاء وأخرى بضم التاء { قال معاذ الله } أعوذ بالله من ذلك { إنه } الذي اشتراني { ربي } سيدي { أحسن مثواي } مقامي فلا أخونه في أهله { إنه } أي الشأن { لا يفلح الظالمون } الزناة . |
| Teb$a t tin u$ur izde$. Terra tibbura, u tenna: "eyya keçç"! Inna: "ad iyi Ineooi Öebbi! Ni$ bab iw iôêeb yissi. S tidep, ur rebêen imednas". |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর সে যে মহিলার ঘরে ছিল, ঐ মহিলা তাকে ফুসলাতে লাগল এবং দরজাসমূহ বন্ধ করে দিল। সে মহিলা বললঃ শুন! তোমাকে বলছি, এদিকে আস, সে বললঃ আল্লাহ রক্ষা করুন; তোমার স্বামী আমার মালিক। তিনি আমাকে সযত্নে থাকতে দিয়েছেন। নিশ্চয় সীমা লংঘনকারীগণ সফল হয় না। |
Literal | And who (F) he is in her house/home seduced/enticed him from himself, and she closed/shut the doors/entrances, and said: "Come/come here ." He said: "I seek protection (of) God, that He is my Lord, He did good/beautified my residence/home , that He does not make the unjust/oppressive succeed/win." |
Yusuf Ali | But she in whose house he was, sought to seduce him from his (true) self: she fastened the doors, and said: "Now come, thou (dear one)!" He said: "Allah forbid! truly (thy husband) is my lord! he made my sojourn agreeable! truly to no good come those who do wrong!" |
Pickthal | And she, in whose house he was, asked of him an evil act. She bolted the doors and said: Come! He said: I seek refuge in Allah! Lo! he is my lord, who hath treated me honourably. Lo! wrong-doers never prosper. |
Arberry | Now the woman in whose house he was solicited him, and closed the doors on them. 'Come,' she said, 'take me!' 'God be my refuge,' he said. 'Surely my lord has given me a goodly lodging. Surely the evildoers do not prosper. |
Shakir | And she in whose house he was sought to make himself yield (to her), and she made fast the doors and said: Come forward. He said: I seek Allah's refuge, surely my Lord made good my abode: Surely the unjust do not prosper. |
Sarwar | His master's wife then tried to seduce him. She locked the doors and said to him, "Come on." He said, "I seek refuge in God who has given me a good place of shelter. The unjust will certainly have no happiness." |

Malik | Now, the lady of the house (his master's wife) attempted to seduce him. She bolted the doors and said: "Come!" He replied: "May Allah protect me from this! My lord has provided me with good residence. Should I betray his trust? Such wrongdoers shall not prosper."[23] |

| Na piyangabayaan skaniyan o (Zolaykha a) khiwalay ko babalingan iyan sa giyadn a ginawa niyan: Go pinggagalidan iyan so manga pinto, sa pitharo iyan: "Song ka sii ka sadn sa kabaya aka rakn!" Pitharo (o Yosof) a: "Mlindong ako ko Allah! Mataan aya! a so Kadnan ko na phipiyapiyaan Iyan so darpa akn. Mataan aya! a di phakaslang sa maliwanag so manga darowaka!" |

Shabbir Ahmed | اور پُھسلایا اُسے اس عورت نے کہ جس کے گھر میں وہ تھا کہ اپنے نفس پر قابو نہ رکھ سکے اور بند کر لیے سب دروازے اور کہنے لگی: بس آ جاؤ! یوسف نے کہا: اللہ کی پناہ، بے شک اللہ میرا رب ہے اُس نے مجھے اچھی منزلت بخشی ہے۔ واقعہ یہ ہے کہ نہیں فلاح پاتے ظالم لوگ۔ |
