| 1 [7:70] | Qaloo aji/tana linaAAbuda Allahawahdahu wanathara ma kana yaAAbudu abaonafa/tina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena |  قالوا أجئتنا لنعبد الله وحده ونذر ما كان يعبد آباؤنا فأتنا بما تعدنا إن كنت من الصادقينقَالُواْ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ اللّهَ وَحْدَهُ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أجئتنا - "Have you come to us| لنعبد - that we (should) worship| الله - Allah| وحده - Alone| ونذر - and we forsake| ما - what| كان - used to| يعبد - worship| آباؤنا - our forefathers?| فأتنا - Then bring us| بما - of what| تعدنا - you promise us,| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
| 2 [17:46] | WajaAAalna AAala quloobihimakinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihim waqran wa-ithathakarta rabbaka fee alqur-ani wahdahuwallaw AAala adbarihim nufooran | وجعلنا على قلوبهم أكنة أن يفقهوه وفي آذانهم وقرا وإذا ذكرت ربك في القرآن وحده ولوا على أدبارهم نفورا وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْاْ عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وجعلنا - And We have placed| على - over| قلوبهم - their hearts| أكنة - coverings,| أن - lest| يفقهوه - they understand it,| وفي - and in| آذانهم - their ears| وقرا - deafness.| وإذا - And when| ذكرت - you mention| ربك - your Lord| في - in| القرآن - the Quran| وحده - Alone,| ولوا - they turn| على - on| أدبارهم - their backs| نفورا - (in) aversion.| | ||||||
| 3 [39:45] | Wa-itha thukira Allahuwahdahu ishmaazzat quloobu allatheena layu/minoona bial-akhirati wa-itha thukiraallatheena min doonihi itha hum yastabshiroona | وإذا ذكر الله وحده اشمأزت قلوب الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة وإذا ذكر الذين من دونه إذا هم يستبشرون وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| ذكر - Allah is mentioned| الله - Allah is mentioned| وحده - Alone,| اشمأزت - shrink with aversion| قلوب - (the) hearts| الذين - (of) those who| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe| بالآخرة - in the Hereafter,| وإذا - and when| ذكر - are mentioned| الذين - those| من - besides Him,| دونه - besides Him,| إذا - behold!| هم - They| يستبشرون - rejoice.| | ||||||
| 4 [40:12] | Thalikum bi-annahu ithaduAAiya Allahu wahdahu kafartum wa-in yushrak bihitu/minoo faalhukmu lillahi alAAaliyyialkabeeri | ذلكم بأنه إذا دعي الله وحده كفرتم وإن يشرك به تؤمنوا فالحكم لله العلي الكبير ذَلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ | |||||
| Words | |ذلكم - "That| بأنه - (is) because,| إذا - when| دعي - Allah was invoked| الله - Allah was invoked| وحده - Alone| كفرتم - you disbelieved;| وإن - but if| يشرك - (others) were associated| به - with Him,| تؤمنوا - you believed.| فالحكم - So the judgment| لله - (is) with Allah,| العلي - the Most High,| الكبير - the Most Great."| | ||||||
| 5 [40:84] | Falamma raaw ba/sana qalooamanna biAllahi wahdahuwakafarna bima kunna bihi mushrikeena | فلما رأوا بأسنا قالوا آمنا بالله وحده وكفرنا بما كنا به مشركين فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| رأوا - they saw| بأسنا - Our punishment| قالوا - they said,| آمنا - "We believe| بالله - in Allah| وحده - Alone| وكفرنا - and we disbelieve| بما - in what| كنا - we used to| به - with Him| مشركين - associate."| | ||||||
| 6 [60:4] | Qad kanat lakum oswatun hasanatunfee ibraheema waallatheena maAAahu ithqaloo liqawmihim inna buraao minkum wamimmataAAbudoona min dooni Allahi kafarna bikum wabadabaynana wabaynakumu alAAadawatu waalbaghdaoabadan hatta tu/minoo biAllahi wahdahuilla qawla ibraheema li-abeehi laastaghfiranna lakawama amliku laka mina Allahi min shay-in rabbanaAAalayka tawakkalna wa-ilayka anabna wa-ilayka almaseeru | قد كانت لكم أسوة حسنة في إبراهيم والذين معه إذ قالوا لقومهم إنا برآء منكم ومما تعبدون من دون الله كفرنا بكم وبدا بيننا وبينكم العداوة والبغضاء أبدا حتى تؤمنوا بالله وحده إلا قول إبراهيم لأبيه لأستغفرن لك وما أملك لك من الله من شيء ربنا عليك توكلنا وإليك أنبنا وإليك المصير قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ إِذْ قَالُوا لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَءَاؤُا مِنكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ إِلَّا قَوْلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Indeed,| كانت - (there) is| لكم - for you| أسوة - an example| حسنة - good| في - in| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| والذين - and those| معه - with him,| إذ - when| قالوا - they said| لقومهم - to their people,| إنا - "Indeed, we| برآء - (are) disassociated| منكم - from you| ومما - and from what| تعبدون - you worship| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah.| كفرنا - We have denied| بكم - you,| وبدا - and has appeared| بيننا - between us| وبينكم - and between you| العداوة - enmity| والبغضاء - and hatred| أبدا - forever| حتى - until| تؤمنوا - you believe| بالله - in Allah| وحده - Alone."| إلا - Except| قول - (the) saying| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| لأبيه - to his father,| لأستغفرن - "Surely I ask forgiveness| لك - for you,| وما - but not| أملك - I have power| لك - for you| من - from| الله - Allah| من - of| شيء - anything.| ربنا - Our Lord,| عليك - upon You| توكلنا - we put our trust,| وإليك - and to You| أنبنا - we turn,| وإليك - and to You| المصير - (is) the final return.| | ||||||
