| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona
|  ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون
ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ |
| Words | |ثم - Then| بدلنا - We changed| مكان - (in) place| السيئة - (of) the bad| الحسنة - the good,| حتى - until| عفوا - they increased| وقالوا - and said,| قد - "Verily,| مس - (had) touched| آباءنا - our forefathers| الضراء - the adversity| والسراء - and the ease."| فأخذناهم - So We seized them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (did) not| يشعرون - perceive.| |
