| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[5:38] | Waalssariqu waalssariqatufaiqtaAAoo aydiyahuma jazaan bimakasaba nakalan mina Allahi waAllahuAAazeezun hakeemun
|  والسارق والسارقة فاقطعوا أيديهما جزاء بما كسبا نكالا من الله والله عزيز حكيم
وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُواْ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالاً مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ |
| Words | |والسارق - And (for) the male thief| والسارقة - and the female thief -| فاقطعوا - [then] cut off| أيديهما - their hands| جزاء - (as) a recompense| بما - for what| كسبا - they earned| نكالا - (as) an exemplary (punishment)| من - from| الله - Allah.| والله - And Allah| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| حكيم - All-Wise.| |
