| 1 [31:12] | Walaqad atayna luqmanaalhikmata ani oshkur lillahi waman yashkur fa-innamayashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fa-inna Allaha ghaniyyun hameedun |  ولقد آتينا لقمان الحكمة أن اشكر لله ومن يشكر فإنما يشكر لنفسه ومن كفر فإن الله غني حميدوَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| لقمان - Luqman| الحكمة - the wisdom| أن - that,| اشكر - "Be grateful| لله - to Allah."| ومن - And whoever| يشكر - (is) grateful| فإنما - then only| يشكر - he is grateful| لنفسه - for himself.| ومن - And whoever| كفر - (is) ungrateful,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| غني - (is) Free of need,| حميد - Praiseworthy.| | ||||||
| 2 [31:13] | Wa-ith qala luqmanu liibnihiwahuwa yaAAithuhu ya bunayya latushrik biAllahi inna alshshirka lathulmunAAatheemun | وإذ قال لقمان لابنه وهو يعظه يا بني لا تشرك بالله إن الشرك لظلم عظيم وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قال - said| لقمان - Luqman| لابنه - to his son| وهو - while he| يعظه - (was) instructing him,| يا - O| بني - "O my son!| لا - (Do) not| تشرك - associate partners| بالله - with Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الشرك - associating partners| لظلم - (is) surely an injustice| عظيم - great."| | ||||||
