| 1 [2:251] | Fahazamoohum bi-ithni Allahiwaqatala dawoodu jaloota waatahu Allahualmulka waalhikmata waAAallamahu mimma yashaowalawla dafAAu Allahi alnnasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lafasadati al-ardu walakinna Allahathoo fadlin AAala alAAalameena |  فهزموهم بإذن الله وقتل داوود جالوت وآتاه الله الملك والحكمة وعلمه مما يشاء ولولا دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لفسدت الأرض ولكن الله ذو فضل على العالمينفَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُدُ جَالُوتَ وَآتَاهُ اللّهُ الْمُلْكَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِمَّا يَشَاءُ وَلَوْلاَ دَفْعُ اللّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَّفَسَدَتِ الأَرْضُ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فهزموهم - So they defeated them| بإذن - by (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah,| وقتل - and killed| داوود - Dawood| جالوت - Jalut,| وآتاه - and gave him| الله - Allah| الملك - the kingdom| والحكمة - and the wisdom| وعلمه - and taught him| مما - that which| يشاء - He willed.| ولولا - And if not| دفع - (for the) repelling| الله - (by) Allah,| الناس - [the] people -| بعضهم - some of them| ببعض - with others,| لفسدت - certainly (would have) corrupted| الأرض - the Earth,| ولكن - [and] but| الله - Allah| ذو - (is) Possessor| فضل - (of) bounty| على - to| العالمين - the worlds.| | ||||||
| 2 [23:71] | Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahumlafasadati alssamawatu waal-arduwaman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAanthikrihim muAAridoona | ولو اتبع الحق أهواءهم لفسدت السماوات والأرض ومن فيهن بل أتيناهم بذكرهم فهم عن ذكرهم معرضون وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - But if| اتبع - (had) followed| الحق - the truth| أهواءهم - their desires,| لفسدت - surely (would) have been corrupted| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| ومن - and whoever| فيهن - (is) therein.| بل - Nay,| أتيناهم - We have brought them| بذكرهم - their reminder,| فهم - but they,| عن - from| ذكرهم - their reminder,| معرضون - (are) turning away.| | ||||||
