| 1 [2:189] | Yas-aloonaka AAani al-ahillati qul hiya mawaqeetulilnnasi waalhajji walaysa albirrubi-an ta/too albuyoota min thuhooriha walakinnaalbirra mani ittaqa wa/too albuyoota min abwabihawaittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tuflihoona |  يسألونك عن الأهلة قل هي مواقيت للناس والحج وليس البر بأن تأتوا البيوت من ظهورها ولكن البر من اتقى وأتوا البيوت من أبوابها واتقوا الله لعلكم تفلحونيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَاقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَجِّ وَلَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِأَنْ تَأْتُواْ الْبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا وَلَـكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى وَأْتُواْ الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الأهلة - the new moons.| قل - Say,| هي - "They| مواقيت - (are) indicators of periods| للناس - for the people,| والحج - and (for) the Hajj."| وليس - And it is not| البر - [the] righteousness| بأن - that| تأتوا - you come| البيوت - (to) the houses| من - from| ظهورها - their backs,| ولكن - [and] but| البر - [the] righteous| من - (is one) who| اتقى - fears (Allah).| وأتوا - And come| البيوت - (to) the houses| من - from| أبوابها - their doors.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| لعلكم - so that you may| تفلحون - (be) successful.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:138] | Waqaloo hathihi anAAamunwaharthun hijrun la yatAAamuhailla man nashao bizaAAmihim waanAAamun hurrimatthuhooruha waanAAamun la yathkuroonaisma Allahi AAalayha iftiraan AAalayhisayajzeehim bima kanoo yaftaroona | وقالوا هذه أنعام وحرث حجر لا يطعمها إلا من نشاء بزعمهم وأنعام حرمت ظهورها وأنعام لا يذكرون اسم الله عليها افتراء عليه سيجزيهم بما كانوا يفترون وَقَالُواْ هَـذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لاَّ يَطْعَمُهَا إِلاَّ مَن نَّشَاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَامٌ لاَّ يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللّهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَاءً عَلَيْهِ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| هذه - "These| أنعام - (are) cattle| وحرث - and crops,| حجر - forbidden,| لا - no (one)| يطعمها - can eat them| إلا - except| من - whom| نشاء - we will,"| بزعمهم - by their claim.| وأنعام - And cattle,| حرمت - forbidden| ظهورها - (are) their backs| وأنعام - and cattle| لا - not| يذكرون - they mention| اسم - (the) name| الله - (of) Allah| عليها - on it| افتراء - (as) an invention| عليه - against Him.| سيجزيهم - He will recompense them| بما - for what| كانوا - they used to| يفترون - invent.| | ||||||
